Ky was absolutely amazing from start to finish in refinishing the hardwood floors in our 1960s bungalow! Thoroughly professional, and a total champion of high quality work. Our new floors look beautiful, and we get compliments on them constantly. Ky works by himself, and so you know you're dealing directly with the person working on your floors. There was some damage to a few boards near our front door, and he fixed the spot so well, you'd never know! He was on-time, on-budget and very engaged throughout the entire process. Very, very highly recommended!

We purchased a home that was built in 1972 and had original red oak floors. We hired Ky to refinish the floors before we moved in. I found his company on Home Stars and decided to call him based on his great reviews. Ky was able to fit in our job to meet our move in deadline and was willing to work weekends to get it done.

Our job was to refinish the existing hardwood on the main floor, feather in new wood between the kitchen and living room where we took out a wall and continue the new wood through the kitchen (which was previously tiled). We also had two sets of stairs to refinish.

Ky takes a lot of pride in his work. He took the time to do everything perfectly. His communication was prompt and knowledgable throughout the whole process. The quote he originally provided was what he charged us and I'm sure the feathering in of the new wood took a bit more time than anticipated. Ky cares about getting the job done right and doesn't take short cuts.

We are extremely happy with the work that Ky did. If you are thinking of investing in getting your hardwood done, you want to make sure it's done right and I would not hesitate to reccommend Ky.

Having purchased an older home (1957), we were debating a new install for our floors. After finding, visiting, and talking with Ky we were immediately comfortable with his knowledge and experience and were convinced that a sand/refinish was all that we needed. As you will see in the pictures, the results were amazing. Ky is very professional and patient, handling our tough stain colour decisions (10 mixtures later) with ease.

We bought a 100 year old home and the owners before us had a dog and a desire to DIY everything...even the floors. From the bags of left over polyflor urethane we found in the basement , we suspected that the floors were redone by them and rather poorly. We had a very short window of opportunity to work with Ky, but he was able to pull off the work in 3 days (950sq ft). He took great care of the floors and returned them to the amazing condition we assumed was under the previous owner's mess. He is professional and hard working. We would recommend (and have recommended) this company to anyone who has challenging floors to restore to former beauty.

Bulltough is definitely a go-too for sanding/refinishing! We were on the fence on whether we replace our floors are attempt to get them refinished. They were original floors from '86 that were thin to begin with. These guys came in and took on the challenge, frankly we couldn't be happier! Keep in mind, this was a very technically challenging job, we have several contractors tell us it couldn't be done. Yet here we are, great new finished floors at a fraction of the cost. The guys are very knowledgeable, efficient, and all around good people.

Would definitely recommend these guys, in fact, already have to a few ppl especially after they seen our floors. Quality is great, communication is good, expertise and knowledge is top notch.

We have two dogs and the wear and tear from them had left our kitchen area and stairs in rough shape. Contacted Ky and one other place. After exchanging a few phone calls and text messages, had a firm quote within a few hours which was reasonable. Checked out BBB (not that useful) and Homestars and decided to go with Ky.

Communication prior to and throughout the job was very good. We always knew where things were at and when he was coming back.

The results from the job were excellent, and far exceeded our expectation. We did not think that our floors and stairs could look that good again. Ky invests in his equipment and he was trying out a new gadget on our job, so this is someone who takes has a lot of pride in his work.

The fact that payment was required only at the end of the job demonstrates that he is confident that his work will speak for itself.

I have a lot more wood floors that will eventually also need refinishing and would absolutely use Bull Tough again. I'm just worried that with all these good reviews he's going to be too busy to help us, but knowing Ky he will find a way. :-)

Ky took on our painted blue wood floors in our 100+ yr old house. It was a risky project and but he accepted the challenge for a really reasonable price, and delivered refinished beautiful wood floors. He is extremely trustworthy and professional, we felt fully comfortable leaving him to our home while we were away on vacation. He kept us updated with pictures and we came home to a completed project and not a trace of dust. We recommend him whenever we get the chance!
