My refridgerator stopped working the day before I had to go to a wedding. Having a small child and a baby means that a working fridge is required. Fortunately, Chris was able to see the fridge the same day I called him.

Since I have a high efficiency fridge, it's not easy to fix. Chris spent the time investigating exactly what the problem was. Once he diagnosed the issue, he was able to get the part and fix the fridge within less than 24 hours.

His pricing was also quite reasonal.

Chris has fixed our dishwasher and fridge. Prompt, courteous, responsive, professional, on-time, neat and tidy. Always give an estimate, cost comes in at or under the estimate, and the repairs last. He also gives great advice on when its time to replace an appliance versus fix it and stretch another couple years out of it.

Highly recommend Chris for any household appliance repair. Our Kenmore laundry machine drained water all over our floor. Chris responded immediately, quickly diagnosed the problem, and returned with the part a day later (Saturday - his day off) to install. While he was picking up the part, we discovered water in our basement. Chris spend 20 mins with us on the phone (his day off) directing us how to investigate and diagnosis the source of the leak. Ultimately, it was unrelated and required a plumber, but Chris went the extra mile to help us nonetheless. Our laundry machine was then fixed right, the first time.

Throughout the entire process, he was genuine, professional, polite. He wanted to ensure we didn't spend money that wasn't required. I highly recommend Chris and Uptown Appliance. It's a relief to know we've found our appliance guy in Stouffville for any future problems we may have.

Started with a leak under the dishwasher, Chris knew exactly what the problem was, ordered the part and within a week, I'm up and running. Chris was friendly, punctual and extremely knowledgeable, couldn't ask for anything more.

Chris was hands down the warmest, most professional, most helpful service person I have ever dealt with. To be honest, my stove was working sporadically at best over a 2 year period but I was paralyzed by fear in terms of contacting someone to repair it. I was afraid of being taken advantage of or it costing a lot of money and then still not working. I had resigned myself to the idea that one day it would stop working completely and I would be forced to buy a new stove, which as a single mum I knew I couldn't afford. Finally, a friend insisted that I call Chris, promising that he was honest, professional, and fair, and would either fix the oven for a fair price, or tell me truthfully that it was time to move on. For a FRACTION of the cost to replace the stove, Chris came within days of my first call, fixed the exact problem that he predicted it would be based on our phone conversation, and honoured the exact quote he had given me over the phone for what it would be if it was what he thought it was. My oven now works perfectly and I am so relieved that I don't have to incur the cost of replacement. I would call Chris again in a second, or refer him to anyone who asked me. In addition to being a great service guy, he's just a really great guy.

Chris was very knowledgeable and informative on all the technical aspects. My old laundry pair was installed in tight confined space and had some difficulties because previous installation guy did a crappy job (my uncle LOL). However Chris didn't panic and had creative ideas to resolve challenges. Although he spent more than two hours, he was very professional and didn't complain about it once. I felt so bad, I suggested that I will finish rest of installation later, but he insisted that he would set up everything because he didn't want my family to live without washer especially knowing I have two kids. It was my pleasure meeting such a professional and kind person. Most of all, I can't thank him enough because he doesn't provide installation service but he went out of his way to get this job done for my family. Thank you, Chris!

When I first called Chris he walked me through a few simple steps to see if he could resolve the problem over the phone and save me a service call. Turns out he had to make a visit. He pre- ordered the parts he thought he would need and came prepared to fix the problem without having to make multiple visits. Very professional, knowledgeable, honest, prompt and reasonably priced.
