James was great to work with explaining all our options. The Parker bros did a great job with the painting and went above and beyond our expectations.

Wow, I cannot say enough about Hamilton House Painters and RENO TEAM / OASIS AT HOME - decks, fences and outdoor lifestyle and the exceptional work that they do. We were having our deck refinished with a hot tub. We purchased the hot tub from Jacuzzi, but this company did all of the the interlock, siding, planters, and a bar. This project also included the company contracting a granite company to prepare the bar and seating areas of granite.

Mike and Malcolm, the company’s workmen are so experienced, pleasant, skilled, trustworthy (we even gave them a fob to our home), and very detailed workers. We cannot say “thank you” enough to them as the company representative. James the supervisor was always available 7 days a week to answer any questions or concerns.

The signed contract was explicit in the work that was to be performed. When issues, mistakes (by others) or concerns occurred, they immediately “jumped in” and made the correction even when it was not in the contract and was above our expectations.

I strongly recommend this company for their amazing commitment to having a project completed in a timely and professional way and go “beyond our expectations”.

June 2017: Don't use them - they demand a huge deposit up front & breached our contract by poor workmanship, unskilled workers, inferior product. I hired them to build a gate then a fence in my backyard. They should state on their website the truth; they hire "subcontractors" who were not experienced fence builders which Was clear in their poor workmanship. Insulting my neighbours, used inferior products (green TWISTED posts, cracked boards), workers not showing up, ran out of gas driving workers to my home, ran out of materials, etc, many many excuses. I gave the company 2 deposits and my neighbours on one side also gave a $400. deposit which was pocketed and no work conducted, hire employees or purchase product. After 5 days they were no way near half completed & broke the gate they built which I'd paid for separately, promising they'd replace it but didn't. I ended up firing them as a result, out of pocket $5600+ and had to hire a professional company to complete the job. They damaged my property too.
July 2018: I made a claim to the company's Liability insurance company for damages sustained to my cement pad, driveway, lawn and mature shrub, all a result of poor workmanship, carelessness, improper use of equipment/tools, excessive/unnecessary damage to lawn. Although James, the company owner claimed he/they were blameless, none of their vehicles were ever in my driveway and I planted the shrub after they were fired. However, I had documentation to confirm otherwise and his Insurance company settled with me for some of my damages. Unfortunately, the Insurance company did not cover the broken gate because it was considered damage to "your work" (under a commercial general liability policy) nor the extra costs to amend the fence and build a new gate to name a few of our out of pocket expenses.
I have attempted several times to resole this matter with James to no avail.

We hired HHP to do several projects, from simple room painting to tile replacement and then full basement reno. What impressed us the most is their excellent communication, reliability and commitment to keep their words and stick to budget. Their price is reasonable and they offer a variety of products and services so it's a one stop shop for all our various needs. They are also very thorough and patient in explaining all options and their recommendations.

I never do this but I feel compelled to share my experience with everyone. As most people know we have been dealing with a really bad renovation experience. I NEVER want anyone to go through what we have. Hamilton House Painters and RENO Team has been the worst thing that has happened to us. Originally the owner quoted us to do paint work but after meeting with him we felt so confident with him that we hired him to complete our project (drywall, putty, floors, molding, painting and staining). NOT ONE SINGLE PART of this job has gone even remotely smoothly. Not only is it the WORST customer service I have ever experienced, the quality of work is so poor that our moldings were ripped out and redone, the drywall (well let's just say I lost count at the 6th crew the owner brought in to fix the poor work). There is NO QUALITY IN THE WORK. He brought us trade after trade that were not qualified to do the job (and most admitted that outright to us or actually quit on their own). As we showed the progress of the house to friends or others in the industry the feedback was embarrassing. The only thing that they are interested in is money. No concern for the fact that our family has been delayed over 6 months by him and that we are eating the extra rental fees. We have tried every approach to plead with him to just finish the job and the final straw is that we have been waiting on interior doors for over a month and turns out when we called the manufacturer this week he hadn't even ordered them! I have never posted a review before but like I said...I wouldn't wish the Hamilton House Painters and RENO Team on your worst enemy. The only thing you can count on with them is that your invoices and payment requests will always arrive on time (somehow he has time for that but not to answer his phone). Hope this helps save other from the heartbreaking experience we continue to go through with this man.

I tried to set up an appt for an estimate for some painting with this company. I had purchased a wagjag for 3 hrs of painting but I wanted an estimate so I wouldn't be surprised with a bill if the job went over the 3 hrs. The company offered me a few dates to come for an estimate but when those dates didn't work out with my schedule and I asked for another date, they sent me an e-mail basically saying they were too busy to come out, the job should take 4-5 hrs so just to pick a date for the painting. Needless to say, if they weren't interested in making more of an effort to give me an in-home estimate, I wasn't interested in their services.
