The Urban Painter

Our basement needed a serious facelift to get it ready for sale. We called the Urban Painter, who had done great work on our main floor. The job was done timely and with the cleanliness and professionalism we've come to expect from Jon and his crew. It looks so great, if only we did the job when we moved in 9 years ago!

Apart from our house exterior needing painting there were also some challenges with steep pitched roofs and high locations. Urban spelled out the challenges and the pricing that was needed for the extra time to ensure a proper job. They came through very well, very organized, kept worker risk low which was a concern of mine as well, and did a great job (I checked the high spots with high power binoculars!). There was a weather delay at the start but they kept me informed as to when they could get started. And above all, all of them were very considerate, punctual, and professional. A great team and thank you for a great job that was well priced.

One of the most positive contractor experiences I've had! Starting with the estimate, followed by the crew's excellent work, and concluding with the clean-up and final payment, this team is professional, dedicated, respectful, talented, and hard working. The quality of the work from the crew was the best I could have hoped for. A very high maintenance cedar deck was prepped and re-stained to look like new. All other exterior paint (windows, trim, porch, etc. were in scope). The onsite crew was not only respectful of my property, but also that of my neighbors. I've already recommended them to a friend, and my brother uses them extensively for commercial and residential condo work. I highly recommend this small, but talented team.

I had The Urban Painter paint the exterior of my bungalow in the summer of 2012. They finished the job while I was away on holiday in September. In the spring of 2013 I noticed lots of bubbles forming in the paint and called them to get it repaired under the warranty they provide. They told me that moisture was coming from the inside of my house and causing the bubbling and that while they would repair it, they would not warranty it further. The bubbles came right back. It is now summer of 2014, and the paint is peeling from the caulking they used, and there are more bubbles than ever.

I contacted Jon to have some exterior painting done on my house and deck. I called August and he was able to come out and do the estimate within the week. The company is fairly small so Jon was not only the estimator but he was out painting and assisting the guys too. Despite my scheduled date being the one day in two weeks that it rained, they came out and started the prep and kept coming back as soon as it was nice until the job was done. House and deck look wonderful. So glad I found these guys. They are professional, courteous, and just a pleasure to do business with.
