Abc Appliance Repairs

So we had a problem with our washer which had stopped emptying, and was full of wet clothing and water, so I looked online for a washer repair service. ABC Appliance was the top rated service. I used their contact form to send an email asking for help. It was 8 PM on Sat evening when I sent the email. By 9:30 PM I had a reply from Vlad, who said he would call me Monday morning.
As promised, Vlad called Monday morning and left a message asking me to return his call. He came to the house 30 minutes after I did so.
He diagnosed the problem - a broken load door safety switch - in less than five minutes, and fixed it in less than 30 minutes. The repair was pretty cheap, considering the excellent service and how much it would cost me for a new machine.

My dryer went on the fritz this week and not being one who likes to drag my laundry across town, I decided to call in a repair service. I saw ABCs wonderful reviews online and called. The owner (Vlad) returned my call within minutes and we scheduled an appointment for the next morning at 8 am. He was punctual (I've had friends who have said that they have waited all day for someone to come do a repair) but Vlad was here at 8 on the dot.
Although the problem was minor, he still gave the machine a once over to make sure that the rest of the washer was running properly.
It felt great supporting a local small, family run business and when future problems arise I will be calling Vlad from ABC. Appliances.

On Labour Day, my dryer began acting up---in the beginning of the cycle, it abruptly stopped, only to suddenly start up again after I messed with the dial several times, unplugged/plugged in the machine, and opened and closed the lid. The next morning, after browsing online and comparing reviews, I decided to call AbC Appliance, the owner was quick to return my call and was available to come to my home and check it out that day. Due to my work schedule, I was not available until a specific time today and Vlad was able to work with that. We scheduled a 3pm appointment and he was on time (actually, he beat me---I was a couple minutes late coming home from an appointment). He was super friendly, knowledgeable, and clean-cut---no missing teeth, no sketchy hand tattoos, etc. Phil determined the problem was the lid switch, and he was able to repair it right then and there, showing me what the problem was and how he was replacing the part. While he worked, we made friendly conversation, talking about all of the great restaurants and nightlife that Midtown has to offer (he lives in that area and I frequent the grid every weekend). After the job was done, he noticed my glass-top stove and asked how I like it. I replied that it's a good stove, though it's black and it always looks dirty, even though I clean it daily. He then demonstrated how to clean it, using any stove cleaner (which he had on hand) and a razor blade---I totally appreciate the tip! My dryer is now good to go and the overall price was very reasonable. Thanks Vlad, and keep up the great work.

I was having issues with my laundry machine so I decided to turn to Homestars to find help. I've never seen so many great reviews and now I know why. Vlad was awesome. He called back within 30 minutes of my leaving a message (I called pretty early in the AM so they probably weren't open yet). He was very helpful and even tried to coach me over the phone as to how I may fix the issue myself and save me some bread. That meant a lot to me as he could have easily just charged the $70 to come out anyway.
Well he did need to come out and not only was able to make it same day but was early. He had everything fixed in no time and the price was more than reasonable. Vlad was also very friendly and personable making him a pleasure to work with. It's always good to support small family businesses so if you need some a repair man for your appliance then just call ABC>

My washing machine broke on a Wednesday morning so I called Vlad and he was very honest about not being able to look at it until the next day and understood if I wanted to call another company to see if I could have them fix it that day. I said OK, I will try another company. I ended up not being able to get another company to come out so I called Vlad back and scheduled him for Thursday morning to meet with my husband. When Vlad got there he was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was exactly wrong with the machine and quoted him the price to fix it. It ended up being the transmission. Again, he wasn't pushy or rude and gave my husband time to think about if we wanted the washer fixed or buy a new one. Even though our washing machine is 13 years old, he said we had the Cadillac of washers because they don't make them with all of these functions anymore. So we did some research and he was right, the cost to fix it was the same cost to buy a new basic washing machine that didn't have any of the features we wanted so we decided to fix it.
I made an appointment for that Saturday at 9am and for some reason between Thursday & Saturday I got in my head that the appointment was at 10am so I set my alarm for 9am. I checked my calendar and noticed the appointment is at 9am, not 10am and I jumped out of bed looked out the window and there he was unloading the van, right on time! Luckily I had time to splash some water on my face and ran downstairs right before the doorbell rang. I opened the door to him and his son (in training). I'm sure he could tell I had just woken up but if he could, he didn't say anything (very nice). Again, he was very courteous and explained everything that needed to be fixed to me.
At the end he ended up charging me less that he originally quoted my husband. So far my washing machine runs better than before.

I had a pleasure of using ABC Appliance Repair, what can I say Vlad's mom raised him right. This guy is polite, friendly, reliable - GREAT customer service. I can't say enough good things about my experience.
I called to have my dryer repaired and Vlad tried to help me over the phone to save me a service call if possible. I still needed the repair after all; He called me at 10:50 am to say he would be at my house at 11 - exactly when he told me he would be there and he arrived at 11. Wow, like that never happens. I open the door and there is this super nice man, big friendly smile and anxious to get at the problem. He was fast, thorough, explained what he was doing and then all my options. He was also very careful to be tidy and respectful of my home and the area he was working in. He takes cash which was not a problem for me, and as a plus, we had a nice chat while he was fixing the dryer. I'm very pleased with his work, and especially the fantastic service. I will call Vlad again if I ever need help with repairs.

I think that Vlad from ABC Appliance Repair stepped out of a time machine from the 50s. I mean, how else can you explain the existence of a sole proprietor appliance repair guy who's clean cut, extraordinarily friendly and polite, fast, responsive, reliable and competent? I thought this species became extinct over time.
We might be speeding along in a downward spiral toward mediocrity, unfulfilled expectations and incivility, but thank Christ we still have Vlad to provide old fashioned ace appliance service with a smile. He repaired my refrigerator several months ago; repaired my dryer earlier today. Both appliances are now working great. And he takes the time to show you what's wrong and gives you a little Appliance 101. I don't know if he's the cheapest (I didn't call around), but when my fridge breaks down and my British cider is getting warm, I just want the thing fixed fast, the job done right and the repair chap to show up on time. All of this you will get with ABC Appliance Repair, Call Vlad, you won’t regret it.

When we moved into our new apartment, I wanted to keep our side-by-side refrigerator, it's bigger and I can always get more groceries inside versus the standard ones. Our landlord approved this prior to us moving in so we packed it up with the rest of the house. Somewhere during the move, something was dropped or placed wrong inside of the truck or something because our ice maker mysteriously stopped working. This was a major problem because my wife could not eat any crushed ice during her nine months of pregnancy so now she was happily enjoying it. We called Vlad from Abc repairs because our friend referred us to them. This place was great! No extra charge for last minute appointments and they came and worked in a timely fashion. Also, reasonably priced considering the amount of repair and the time frame in which we called. We were very happy with their work and prices.
