Abc Appliance Repairs

My 12 year old Kenmore washer stopped spinning. So after checking with the Homestars, I cross-referenced some names, read some online reviews, and came up with Abc Appliance Repair. The woman who answered the phone was extremely friendly, and it was one of the most painless instances of setting up an appointment. She gave me a two-hour window and took down my number.
On the appointed day, they called me within the time window and headed over. After listening to my description of the issue, they offered up some ideas of what was wrong and provided me with an estimate within the first five minutes or so of looking at the washer. I accepted the estimate, and the problem was fixed within thirty minutes. Afterwards they told me what to expect--some burning smells--for the first 2-3 washes. Since then, I've done four loads, and it has worked perfectly. All-in-all, it was such a positive experience, -from the first call to the professionalism of the work, I will definitely use them again.

I've called Vlad about my refrigerator. It was not cooling. This was my third company I've called. Two others could not help me because of luck of experience. He was very nice to accomodate my availability. Problem was determined and fixed in a minute and my lovely refrigerator works like a charm.I will definitely call him if I need service and recommend ABC Appliance Repairs to my friends and family!!!

Vlad from ABC Appliance called me back ten minutes after I left a voicemail explaining my problem. He gave me an appointment time frame of two hours that same day.

He called while he was on his way to the property and met me there in a very timely manner. Within twenty minutes he had figured out the problem and fixed it.

The service call cost me $65. I'm a stickler for convenience, courtesy and professionalism. He was all of the above. Even though the problem could've been fixed on my own via trial and error his quick, easy resolution of it was greatly appreciated.

This was a rental of ours and I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter and a 8 months pregnant wife. I don't have time to tinker with a refrigerator and "figure it out via youtube". I wanted results and I got them.

Vlad is awesome, all these 10 star reviews are absolutely right on. He is nice, prompt, on time, explains exactly what he is doing and why, makes an effort to only replace what is necessary and guarantees his work.

The great reviews Vlad has already received are absolutely true. I needed my dishwasher repaired quickly and Vlad answered my call immediately and setup an appointment for the next day (which was on the weekend). He arrived on time, explained the problem and the solution. Vlad managed to get things in a workable state until he could get the original manufacturer's parts, and then came by as soon as they arrived to finish the job. I am extremely happy with his work and professionalism, and would recommend him to everyone. I've found my appliance repair technician, 10 stars!

I've never dealt with someone as amazing as Vlad. It was like going back to a better time in history. I called on a Saturday night and he called back within 15 minutes- on a Saturday night!!!!. He is so calm, reassuring, kind and professional, it was more like calling my Dad for help than a business owner. He diagnosed the problem and explained my options- no pressure. He didn't do what I expected, which was to set up a preliminary consult- and charge me a huge fee- just to tell me he couldn't help me. Nope, he diagnosed over the phone, gave me an exact repair quote and told me to sleep on it and not stress and we could talk on Sunday. Sunday- again an immediate return call. I decided to have him fix the fridge instead of buying new and asked, what if he couldn't fix it. He said he'd take back the part, I wouldn't be charged and it would be like it never happened. Really? Is this present day???? When could he come? Oh, the very next morning of course! Plus he said I should go to work and he'd call when en route so I wouldn't have to miss more work than I had to!!!!
He was right on time, so nice, so interesting to talk to, made the repair in no time flat, and I was back to work in an hour. This guy is the real deal- he believes in helping people and doing the right thing. He's honest, smart, passionate and most importantly a kind genuine person

Our dryer failed, and since we have a two year old and an infant and my husband was almost out of socks we needed to get someone out to fix it ASAP. I called first thing Monday morning and left a message. By the time I'd spoken to a second repair company (who couldn't come out until the next day), Vlad had called back. He came out immediately and spent the next two hours taking apart our dryer (which had apparently had a complete meltdown!) When he realised that instead of a quick fuse replacement it was going to require a new heating element, multiple fuses, and a blower, he gave us two quotes - $60 for the diagnostic service call and we'd have to get a new dryer, or $400 to fix it (and we'd end up with what was basically a new dryer!) Since we'd spend almost double that to replace it with a comparable model, we chose to have him do the repair. Phil needed to order one of the parts and anticipated it would arrive on Wednesday. He said that even if it came at 5 PM he'd come out that evening and fix it. The part arrived Tuesday afternoon and Phil came straight to our house to install it and get our dryer running again. At my request, he made a few maintenance suggestions that should help keep our dryer in excellent shape for a long time to come, and he wiped down what had been a fairly dirty machine so it looks brand new, we are very happy with Abc and their service.

I would recommend ABC Appliance to anyone! My dishwasher seemed to be broken (turned out it wasn't), and I called A&J, based on all the great reviews online, Vlad, the owner, returned my call right away. First, he tried to help me fix the problem over the phone, to avoid coming out and charging me unnecessarily. Then, when I further explained the problem, he decided to come in person. He arrived within the hour, quickly diagnosed the problem, and pointed out another potential problem. He was not, however, trying to get more money out of us. Instead, he explained how we could easily fix it ourselves. Vlad educated us on various ways to make our dishwasher run better, and he clearly knew what he was talking about. He has been in the repair business for years, and has the experience, knowledge and enthusiasm any customer would want. His fee was quite reasonable, too, especially compared to the flat rate that was charged by a larger company I had earlier checked into.

In short, I would describe ABC’s service with these words: friendly, helpful, professional, low cost.

I was having problems with my oven and I called ABC after finding him on Homestars (along with his very enthusiastic reviews!). He diagnosed my problem (worn igniter) over the phone and when I decided on the repair he offered to come out immediately. He was here in 20 minutes and had my oven fixed in about 40 minutes. He was extremely personable, showed me everything he was doing, and charged me exactly what he quoted. He was extremely friendly - it turns out we have a couple mutual friends.
I love that he had the part handy (he says igniters are a common problem on ovens so he keeps them in stock) and I could get my oven back in operation within about an hour or so after calling him.
He gave me great advice on maintenance and some things to keep an eye on.
I will recommend ABC to all my friends and will most certainly call again if I have appliances in need of repair, thank you Vlad.

Sunday
On Sunday night our fridge was dying, I checked homestars and found ABC rated one of the best in our area (etobicoke). So I gave them a call and booked a time.

Monday
At 9:30 AM sharp, my phone rang, it was Vlad of ABC. He asked when I was available I said now and hung up. At 9:35AM (I promise) he was at our door. Vlad lives in the area.

Vlad knocked on the door and started to put on those little booties to protect our floor from his work boots. Great sign. Who wants work boots all over their floors? In any event, he looked at our freezer and within two minutes explained what the issue was and gave me an estimate. (Spoiler alert - estimate was almost exactly the final cost - sweet). To make a long review less long and boring, Vlad did a wonderful job so good in fact I started to look for other things he could repair. Hello clothes dryer. Before his overhaul, the dryer sounded like you were sitting in a Southwest jet with a hole in the ceiling.

The dryer overhaul (replace some stripped out wheel, belt, etc was just over $150ish. The fridge job was a little more expensive, but I got to keep the old parts - YES

Finally I found a good appliance guy, very happy with him
