AGM Renovations

When the company came in and gave the quote and initially started they were amazing. All the actual workers that came in to finish the basement were great. The designer, was not very knowledgable and it was a complaint we heard regularly with the tradesmen. Once the project actually started we never heard from anyone in head office or the proje t manager. We were schedulled appointments for payment themeough google calender, but no one actually called to book it with us. We paid to have cabinets installed that were not completed, and ofcourse there was no one to speak to regarding the issues. The customer service and lack of communication is why I give auch a low grade. They offer zero resolution when dealing with errors on their part. The tradesman were great. if you are someone who needs to be in the loop or know whats going on and when they are showing up, this company is not for u. It also takes WAY longer them 3 weeks. Read the fine print. Our start date was Aug 5 the complete day not including the touch ups they came back for was September 25. Also, they mostly worked on weekends.

We had a hard time dealing with the company. No work schedules were provided, no project supervisor on site and hardly any communication was done by the company. We only spoke to three people i.e. sales person, our designer and a guy from Client Services. We were promised 35 "business" days for the project to be finished and it took 76 "business" days. I have left several voicemail but I hardly got a response back. This was probably one of a kind experience for both my husband and I. Personally, I would not like to hire them again.

The last time I spoke to the lady in Client Service Dept is Sept, she was complaining about how the company is still new and implementing new policies and she has no idea how to assist me as she has been put into this place. She herself confessed site supervisor do not connect with Customer Relations on a regular basis for which she perform her duties. This is an utterly difficult situation for the customer.

I think they need a do a better job in communication and training their employees. Our designer was nice and co-operative and the guy from customer service who always notified us what's happening next. In the last stages of the project there was Zero Communication from the customer relations dept as well. The promises made by the sales rep were not kept.

I wish I could have backed out from this deal and rather pay 15% as a part of their Contract condition. For all those people who have earned their hard money, please do full investigation and research before hiring any company.

Overall, I was not pleased with their services especially after learning that the employees are also working under alot of pressure and stress. I could not save myself, I am sure when you read this you'll make a smarter decision.

Superior design work and craftmanship, reasonably priced compared to other quotes, and we are thrilled with the quality of the work. And on top of that, it only took 4 weeks!

After searching and receiving quotes from many other companies and independent contractors we decided on hiring AGM to finish our basement. And boy are we glad we did! Not only was our designer Svetlana great with selecting our finishes but she worked with our style and budget! Our basement looks amazing and everything was completed on the time line provided! The trades coming in were polite, on-time and paid attention to detail. AGM knows what they are doing!

Be prepared to spend more then the original quote. The items listed in the quote (i.e. flooring) are of poor quality and to upgrade you will pay a lot more. We have a small basement, and it took a lot longer than the 3 weeks that they advertise. The demolition is not included in this time frame. We have found them over priced and the quality of work is average, you are better off saving your money and going with another contractor and buying your own fixtures, flooring, vanity, etc. Poor communication between workers and project managers.

The way the process was conducted was very smooth and organized. From the first meeting with Amar to discuss the scope, our options and costs, to 3D design from Kate together with recommended materials, Maria and the Customer Service Team, the nice young lady who greeted us when we arrive at their offices and last but most importantly, the very skillful, efficient and professional structural crew – framing, drywall, tile, flooring installation, painting, plumbing and especially electrical all under the tutelage of Rocco. The result is a nice, cozy and beautifully done renovation and on time as promised.

We definitely made the right choice and will gladly recommend and speak highly of AGM Basements Reno with no hesitation at all.

It has been excellent from the first phone call to AGM Basemts. Their service department was prompt in getting any queries or concerns that I had with the process. I was informed that I would be assigned a Designer and a Project Manager for my job which I thought was a nice touch. I bought my house new a few years ago and was not afforded such excellent service.I was shown a 3D design of what the completed job would look like.The contractors came on time and completed the job as if it were their own home. The area was cleaned after each day and the garbage stored.The end result surpassed my expectations. The paint job was neat,the floors, the lighting, the bar area, all done with care and expertise.The extra special touch was the 'cleaning service' that came in like little elves when we were away to ensure that everything was spotless for the grand reveal!

First off I must say that the customer service is remarkable, Omar has given my wife and I the best service possible. All of our questions were answered right away, no hidden costs, no hidden anything, just true workmanship and skills. I will recommend this company to anybody looking to do their basement, I have also given the company many personal references which have also received great results from agm.

This was our first time undertaking a major reno and we were a bit nervous but AGM did a commendable job in creating a beautiful basement for us. What's best about this company is the professionalism with which they deal with their clients. Right from the sales rep, to the designer, the framers, and all the trades people - everyone worked hard to deliver their services on time without compromising quality. There's always hurdles in any major renovation and we had a few minor ones but what was great about AGM is that they put in the effort to find solutions as best as they could to meet our expectations. This was something we really appreciated as often some contractors will say there's nothing they can do about something unexpected and move on. We have been getting a lot of compliments on our basement from everyone and it's a perfect space for our family. Their quote is competitive given that you get quality, punctuality, professionalism and excellent customer service. This is worth paying a bit extra for to avoid stress and hassle.
