I was very pleased with the service I received from PuroClean. They responded very quickly to my call and completed the emergency work and rebuild of the basement in a timely manner. All of the representatives of PuroClean that I dealt with including Mike Perry, Kristofer Rusk, Angelo and his crew and Jimmy were courteous, compassionate and punctual, as well as respectful of my time and privacy. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

The owner Dino, and his PuroClean team did an excellent job with the emergency repair and tear out. Dino was very organized, experienced and reliable. He made sure everything was done with care and quality. We are very happy that we used Dino and his team. They exceeded our expectations.

His depth of knowledge, calm demeanour, excellent service level and attention to us was what helped get through it all. I had a backup in my basement, and there was about 1.5" of water. I called PuroClean, and Mike Perry came to have a look. He said I probably had an insurance claim, and walked me through it (I have no idea how to do any of that kind of thing) calmly, and without condescension. He and his crew showed up when they said they would, with fantastic communication from Mike throughout. It was a very distressing, and stressful time, made so much easier by Mike and his crew. They did a wonderful and thorough job of cleaning up the mess (they had to remove drywall as well as an old kitchen). They got rid of some asbestos tiles safely, and had everything carted away neatly when they said they would. Two months later, when I had another backup, Mike recommended a great plumber; and his associate Brad came out the very next day to clean up the mess anew. I found him to be similar to Mike, with a straightforward, polite, and respectful manner. I HIGHLY recommend Mike Perry and PuroClean. HIGHLY.

With the recent warm spell, water seeped into our finished basement, leaving our carpet and under pad wet. Contacted Luc from PuroClean. They arrived the same day and installed fans and a dehumidifier. 3 days later, the job was done. I found them punctual, friendly and professional. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Thank you to the PuroClean Durham office for their honest assessment of my mold problem. I had called two other mold removal companies and received wildly different estimates. I did not know what to do. When I called PuroClean, Sean visited my house and explained the process of mold growth and the steps needed to remove it. He took the time to explain his quote and helped me understand the options available. I comfortably scheduled the mold removal with PuroClean right away. I have already recommended PuroClean to a friend who has a similar mold problem.

They were great. Their services were recommended by our insurance company. They went out of their way to ensure the work was done fast and with care and special attention to all the small details.

In June 2013, I discovered a mold problem in a basement bedroom of my home. Puroclean ranked very high through Homestars so I called them first.
I called the company and explained the situation and a technician arrived promptly as scheduled. It was explained to me that the company charges $175.00 for the initial inspection and that this would be applied against the final billing as a deposit after the work was completed. I wanted to hire the company and book a date for service. Neither customer service nor the technician called me back to book an appointment after leaving several messages.
After waiting for two weeks and not getting a return call, it was clear that my business was not worthy of their time and I moved onto another company - their competition. I understand that July was an extremely busy time for this type of business due to numerous flooding’s in Ontario and other provinces but I was disappointed to think that my problem ranked less than anyone else just because it wasn’t being billed through an insurance company.
I was recently billed (August 29th) the $175.00 for the inspection appointment. I’m appalled that Puroclean would bill me after the customer service, or lack thereof, that I received from their company. To this day, I have not heard back from the company - no staff ever followed up to enquire why I hadn’t hired the company or if the job had been completed. I also emailed the President of the company and customer service and have heard nothing back from either. Simply stated that is bad business and bad customer service.
The company we did hire to do the mold remediation provided the initial inspection at no charge and booked the remediation date on the spot - that company is a 10.

Since writing this review I was contacted by the Owner of Puroclean Milton, Ken McDermot.
Mr. McDermot was gracious to acknowledge my point of view specific to the situation, explain the processes of his business and identified that this has not ever happened before.
I appreciated him contacting me to validate my concerns and he was also kind enough to offer a refund based on this misunderstanding.

It truly was excellent service. Sean was right on time for the appointment, explained all the options I had with prices within a day of the assessment. I had 2 other contractors come in and offer to do the same service for double the price. Everything was done on time and there was no mess once his crew had packed up. All in all, I am very impressed and would use them again in a second for mould or any other water damage.
