Vito DiSumma performed the home inspection before the purchase of our first house. As first-time home buyers, we had many questions that he answered honestly and in language we (non-contractors!) could understand. He was punctual, personable, thorough and provided an extensive report with pictures and thermoscans indicating areas for future attention.

My husband and I recently employed Vito of DSM Properties to conduct a home inspection. Vito came highly recommended from a colleague, and we were exceedingly pleased with his performance, attention to detail and value added services. Vito encouraged us to accompany him throughout the inspection as he very patiently presented us with an objective visual examination of the structure and systems of our new home.
We also opted for use of an infra-red camera, an additional cost of only $450 which was worth every cent.
Given that we were not experts ourselves, it was comforting to have an impartial expert teach us about the various elements of our house including heating and cooling systems, structure, plumbing and electrical. Vito even gave us short tutorials on how the mechanical systems worked and how to maintain these systems in the future to ensure maximum efficiency and longevity.
Vito also took his time to identify both existing and potential problem areas to us, suggested potential solutions and even went out of his way to provide referrals to us to assist in acquiring estimates for the cost of the work required.

The infrared scan was a very useful service that we opted for ,and it helped detect several areas where insulation was missing in the house.

I'm really glad I opted for the thermal / Infrared scan. What a fantastic tool to see things that your eyes can't see! A leak was detected on the second floor of the home. This was brought to the homeowners attention and the problem was fixed .
