Downtown Gas

We have been using Downtown Gas, Mario and Rick, for more than 15 years for routine maintenance, repairs, and appliance replacement. That should show how we feel about them. They know their work, are pleasant to deal with, and provide excellent advice when repairs or replacements to a furnace or water heater are needed, thinking more about the perspective of the customer than about their revenue.

For at least 20 years, Mario and his staff have maintained our furnace and gas water heater and done repairs in a very cost-effective manner when required. They are my choice to continue servicing our equipment.

Our furnace of 25 years finally died, and Mario was able to jump on the project and replace with a new furnace in 1 day - it was still cold outside.
For the day without heat - he was kind enough to bring by some plug-in heaters to maintain some warmth.
The workmanship was clean and meticulous - the duct work cutting and fitting was well done, they worked quickly and efficiently, and left the place clean when they left. They also took the old furnace away.
It was obvious that the crew had been working together for many many years and this team was a well oiled machine.

I received five different quotes for a tankless water heater and Mario was by far the most reasonable. Him and his team were extremely knowledgeable and overall provided superb service. I will be using them again for a new air conditioner in a couple of weeks. I highly recommend them for all over your heating and air conditioning needs.

I'm so glad that we found Mario and his team!! We recently used their services to disconnect an old gas oven, hook up a new cooktop, as well as install a new AC unit. Their work was fast, professional and well-priced. They have been here within hours every time we have needed them and they went above and beyond to help solve a problem in the house that was affecting our AC unit (unrelated to their work). Mario and the guys are the only people we recommend for furnaces, air conditioning and gas installations. We first met him years ago when he thought outside the box to run a gas line for us. All the other companies said it could not be done (or did not want to do it). Since then we have used him for other projects and completely trust his advice. On top of that his prices are very reasonable. He is the best!

This is the second time we used Mario- the first time he did our daughters' house downtown. His price was competitive but the real reason we went back to him was the quality of work and responsiveness after installation. Also, his guys are terrific, helpful. They work really clean, pleasant to have in the house. Would absolutely use him again if needed.

I found Mario to be quite knowledgeable and approachable. Gave me good advice and also shared ideas on how to further maintain my heating and cooling systems. He is in a nearby location which is an important factor for me, as this would negate long time periods to access a service call.

I had a gas fireplace installed in the basement apartment of my home after years of mediocre heat provided by my overworked furnace that was supplying heat for additional apartments. It was a perfect solution and Mario did a beautiful job installing it exactly where I wanted it. He made sure I was happy and was very accommodating. He is prompt, friendly, trustworthy and the work done was more than my expectations. The crew was very clean and conscientious, and the price was more than fair. I am very happy with the job and would definitely hire Mario again. I highly recommend him.

Starting off with the quoting process - Mario came to do the quote and he was super friendly, knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions. They were the 3rd company I had over to quote. Their price fell right in the middle of the three, but I felt most comfortable with Mario based on his experience and advice on the best furnace needed for my home.
The work started and finished the next day. The attention to detail and good quality that the guys put into the job couldn't go unnoticed. They also ensured that my home was spotless after they completed the job.You wouldn't of even noticed that anybody had been there for 2 days working.
I want to especially point out our gratitude for Mario - who went above and beyond to fix a plumbing issue that we were prepared to pay close to $700 to fix.
