In May 2017, we hired James to remove a tree from our backyard. We had a set price of $1,500 dollars which was agreed upon by both parties.
Work that was agreed upon was to cut down the tree, remove all brush, cut the stump in 18 inch lengths and grind the stump down so that grass can be grown above.
A crew showed up, cut down the tree and removed the brush as promised. It was a long day, and the crew left with hopes of returning days after to cut out the stump. Days followed and because of weather, the work could not be completed. Nice weather arrive and his crew showed up and tried to grind out the stump. He also mentioned that he under quoted me and needed an extra $400. I was caught off guard by the sales tactic, but felt that as long as the grinding took place I would give him an extra $200, meeting him half way.
After the grinding was completed to his acceptable levels, they left without customer inspection. The stump was deeper in the middle but barely broke the grass line on the parameter. As a result, we called and emailed James but to no response or customer satisfaction. Attached is an email trail to show the lack of professionalism when it came to delivery and meeting the customers needs.

Tree Removal
Hello James,
I am emailing you this message with the hopes of receiving an explanation from you that will help me understand why we still have a large portion of a stump left in our backyard.
I know it has been over a week since you and your team were here to take down our tree and remove our stump, but today is the first day I was out looking at the left over wood.
While a large part of the stump has been ground away, there still remains quite a bit left that will make it impossible to sod over.
I do recall you saying to me that there was no evidence of a stump left, just before you left that day.
Part of our agreement was the removal of the stump. I am sincerely hoping that this can be worked out, as I am left unimpressed.
Please let me know your thoughts!
Thank you.

Hello James,
Am I to assume that you will not be coming back or sending anyone to finish off our stump?
We are getting ready to move on our back yard, and would like to know.
If you could either email or call it would be appreciate it.

Wow!!!!
Thank you for your response, but we don't need your wife.
We will agree that this job is done, and will be sure to express our satisfaction with this experience through online reviews.
Thank you for your time!
Three years has passed and the grass still does not grow without daily watering.
These are the facts behind our story not opinions.
