Eco Choice Windows & Doors

We met with an Eco Choice rep who toured our house and recommended window solutions based on our needs. The install took 1.5 days and we are really happy with the results!

We had a new entrance built to our basement and needed a new entry door. We went with Eco Choice on the basis of the Homestars reviews. One thing I would say is to allot plenty of time when ordering; there is a wait for the construction of the door and then as well for installation. In our case, there were a couple of delays in the installation (due to weather etc). The customer service was friendly and responsive, and when we finally met the installers, they were terrific. Professional and efficient, and super helpful - they even helped my husband carry a heavy piece of furniture we coincidentally had received while they were doing the install! They went above and beyond, and the result is perfect. We will definitely go with Eco Choice again when we do our upstairs renovations.

First time using Eco Choice we booked with our neighbour in the adjoining semi to keep our bay windows consistent. We were pleased with the quality and service, but for the 2nd job to replace 3 windows and an outdated patio door we did comparison shop. Price was competitive, Gabriel provided helpful suggestions, installation and clean up was great and we're happy with the result. We recommended Eco Choice to a friend who is also very satisfied. We are now replacing our other windows and didn't hesitate to book with Gabriel at Eco Choice. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend Eco Choice Windows & Doors. The sales rep Anthony was both knowledgeable and pleasant to deal with. No high pressure and lots of solid advice. Pricing was competitive with other quotations but dealing with Anthony sealed the deal. We were equally impressed with the installation team lead by Iurii. Totally professional and great workmanship. The whole team was a pleasure to deal with.

They replaced 1 patio door and 9 windows (2 solid, 2 awning and 5 casement).  The windows are decent quality for the price and I appreciate that the company capped the garage door frame and window at no extra charge. Installation was completed in 1 day and on schedule. 
There was a defect with the insulation inside the patio doors and eventually the manufacturer replaced the whole door.

My major disappointment would be the workmanship - the attached photos tell the story. When I mentioned to the installation crew that I didn't like the sloppy finish of the frames, I was told that:  "it's not a big deal since they all need to be painted anyway".  
I spent a lot of time sanding the frames to remove smeared foam and smooth out dents. I had to also apply caulking around the windows and patio door; some were caulked on 2 sides, others 3 but none were done all around.
I regret not taking photos immediately after installation to show the mess left behind. I found caulking inside sinks and stamped into wood floors by boots. It took a lot of time and much elbow grease to get caulking out of the hardwood floors. Like other reviewers noted - I too had to resort to using different phone numbers to get through. I recommend communicating via e-mail only.  

I had new windows installed from eco choice on November 19. During the installation, one of the workers dropped the old window down while carrying it down the stairs. He was carrying the glass alone and wearing just socks without any protective shoes. Thankfully no one was near the stairs but someone could’ve gotten hurt. The installer hurt himself on the foot because he was only wearing socks when carrying the glass. When I mentioned he should’ve worn shoes they say it won’t matter because they’re wearing normal sneakers instead of protecting footwear, again the job clearly has risk for foot injury, not giving workers protective footwear is very dangerous. and this leads to the worker injury in this scenario. The glass also damaged my floor and stairs. Because of the injury to one the workers, the other worker had to finish the job by himself which takes a long time. On top of that, they didn’t properly clean the area after, which I understand this is because 1 worker had to do the job by himself but I expect the company to maybe send an extra person to help. On top of all of this, I didn’t get a single apology about the glass/damage. I also emailed eco choice regarding my experience but didn’t receive a reply. My previous communication before the windows were installed was fast and responsive, seems like they don’t care anymore after getting the payment.

The service I received was amazing from beginning to end. Eco Choice had a lot of high quality doors and designs to choose from. I was given a sound quote with no hidden fees. The installer was fantastic, quick, polite, good natured and cleaned up 100%. My door was installed yesterday and I am sure that I will be as happy about the door in the months and years to come as I am today!
