Greater Toronto Contractors-No Longer in Business

I needed a wall built in my condo with a pocket door. I knew it was going to be a hassle as it had to be built against a curved glass wall and also go around air ducts at the top. I needed it to happen though and GTC managed to make it happen. Even when we ran into problems with the positioning of the wall they quickly figured out a solution that met my very specific needs. They were kind, courteous, on time every day of the project and cleaned up all the debris left over after building. I would highly recommend this company for any contracting needs you may have.

We recently had our out dated kitchen rebuilt and hired GTC to do all the work. From our first consultation we were impressed by the detail and customer service they provided. Shain set the bar for customer relations higher and he and GTC far exceeded our expectations. Shain was very prompt in handling any of our requests, and we were in constant contact throughout the renovations. Any minor details, or changes were all handled and resolved with in 24 hours of the request. All the suppliers they recommended to us to purchase appliances, tiles, and cabinets, ,were outstanding. They were all very helpful with our purchases and deliveries were all on time, and to our requirements. We are very happy with what we can now call our kitchen, and everything came within our budget. We would highly recommend GTC for any renovation and plan on hiring them again to rebuild out basement in the future.
It has been 3 years since we had GTC do our kitchen. After the first year, they had to come back and tear up the entire floor and rebuild it. Turns out there was no subfloor installed. Now 3 years later, the floor still creaks and the tiles and grout a popping out. Even tho , originally everything looked ok.....the work that was done was not done properly, and we will have to have the floor torn up again.

My wife and I recently purchased our home which is around 23 years old. It had the square footage we were looking for but needed some updating and didn't have the open concept look we wanted.
I read about Greater Toronto Contractors and liked what they had to offer for major renovations including taking down load bearing walls, which in our case we needed to do. Their Tarion warranty and experience with applying for the proper permits for this kind of reno kept my mind at peace.
My wife and I met with the licenced contractor who gave us an estimate which was very fair for the kind of reno and update we wanted. Our next step was to meet with the design team and build a 3D portfolio giving us many options for the new look of our home. Once we had an idea of the scope of work we met with our Operations manager, material selection specialist and the crew.
During the reno, we worked with everyone as a team and GTC was there every step with our decisions, any changes and/or upgrades we wanted.
The professsional manner and great communication we received plus the solid work kept us happy with the pocess. GTC worked hard to finish the reno within the time frame we asked and in the end my wife and I got the open concept,high-end,cozy home we wanted in our kitchen, family,dining,living rooms and ensuite.
Not only did we get the professionalism of the company, we made great friends with the people we worked with and know whenever we need GTC our Operations manager and the entire team will be there for my wife and I.
Our next reno will be our basement and I will not hesitate; GTC will be the team for us.

Work was clean, all of the staff are very professional and knowledgeable. Renovation was for three bathrooms (basement, main floor, and ensuite). They suggested a unique tiling design to go along with the colour scheme in the rest of the house that my wife and I loved. I have done renovations done before and have to say my experience with Greater Toronto Contractors was great, and I have no complaints. Would definitely recommend for anyone considering renovations.

I am incredibly impressed with the work of Sam and GTC. I approached them in December for a quote to renovate my basement and to make some changes to my kitchen (flooring, countertops). I spoke to a few companies but GTC was by far the best. They didn't push me into going forward with them as I explained that I was looking around. I really appreciated that they were patient and felt that they genuinely wanted to offer help. This was one of the reasons I decided to go with them in the end. Other companies offered me a price a bit lower than GTC but I felt that they were just trying to sign me off and didn't really care about my project as much. Sam's team provided me with an amazing design and even showed me a bit of it in 3D which I thought was fantastic. I wanted to have everything done for this month for when my mom comes and stays with my family for the next few months. I was worried that they wouldn't get everything done in time, but Sam and his team amazed me. They stuck by every deadline they had given me. When any issues arose, Sam would immediately contact me himself and explain it to me. GTC's customer care and service is second to none and I am so grateful for their work and friendship. Thanks to the entire team!

I recently purchased a home in Thornhill that was completely renovated on the ground and upper floors but basement was unfinished. I was looking to get the basement finished before I moved in. I actually went forward with Sam and his team after checking out the company online. This site really helps!
The biggest issue for me was getting the job done on time. I let Rick know of this from the beginning and he assured me they would meet my deadlines. The final reno went a little over my budget but went a long a way in the overall look of the basement and the use of the space. I loved seeing the designs in 3D and actually being able to pick different materials and seeing the look.
Sam and his team were able to finish the reno on time and constantly kept me up to date. The basement looks amazing, even better than the ground and upper floors! I wish there was more for me to do in this house so that I could have GTC in again. But to anybody looking to do a reno with a reliable company, look no further. Greater Toronto Contractors recently completed a bathroom renovation for me and I am very pleased with the result. This is largely thanks to their team approach and meticulous attention to detail. I was very happy that there were no hidden costs after the initial estimate was given. The company kept to the budget.
There is so much choice of fixtures, tiles, paint etc. that I was happy to have a project manager listen to what I like, visit stores on my behalf, and provide me with a good selection to choose from.
I was told how long my project should take and this timeline was honoured. In order to accommodate all of the trades, the crew uncomplainingly worked a few times late into the evening and even on Saturday. They used my garage for storage of the new fixtures and to do some of their work. It was left spotless - all cardboard boxes and other debris swept up or taken away.
There is always someone at the end of the telephone if you have any concerns.
A walk through is done to make sure that all ends are tied up.
My bathroom is beautiful and I would like to thank Kim and Rick for their professionalism and great ideas. Eddie and his band of workers impressed me with their courtesy and skill.

GTC was very professional and pleasure to deal with in basement and kitchen renovation. Sam and his team were helpful, especially with the estimate and my budget limit. I went forward with their financing option and I thought it was great that it was with TD Bank.

The renovations were completed on time and there was no mess left behind. There was a minor delay at the beginning, but Rick and Sam were able to sort it out without causing me inconvenience.

I heard about Greater Toronto Contractors from a friend. GTC was able to successfully create a design that was modern and perfectly suited to what I asked for. Unlike many other contractors, GTC offered me design services as well. I loved seeing the renovation in 3D beforehand!!! The staff were very professional and courteous, and they worked well with the budget I gave them. I eventually would like to renovate more of my house but I thought I would start with something small. I'm very satisfied with GTC's service and will definitely go back to them for my next renovation.

Sam and his team just finished up a few different renos at my house. I had our kitchen on the main floor renovated, our basement, and two bathrooms done on the 2nd floor. My basement has been sitting unfinished for a long time and I wanted to get a bathroom and kitchen in there to turn it into a bachelor. The other renos were to upgrade the kitchen and bathrooms. They contacted me right away for a quote and presented me with different concepts for each of the renos. They were very easy to reach and were always in touch with me. What I appreciated the most was that they kept my house quite clean during the project because I was still living in it. I was expecting the reno to take a lot longer than it did. To be honest I am quite surprised at how smoothly everything went!! I have heard and read a lot about renovations and problems that come up. Greater Toronto Contractors are professional, efficient, and have excellent communication skills.
