Nala Developments Inc. (No Longer In Business)

Alan ripped us off for $100,000.00 and renovations not completed, he is a dishonest
who never completed work on time dishonest about previous problems he had with other clients, he could never be trusted as he did not pay vendors that had been paid and liens were placed on our house.

Good to see that Al has pulled up his boot straps (according to recent reviews). We hired him when he owned a company called NALA Developments. After subcontractors started putting liens on our house and knocking down our door, we discovered they had not been paid for months after their work had been completed. After firing Al we lost all our HUGE deposit (since according to his contract we had to give him a week notice), had to repay to get shoddy work done and had to finish the project ourselves. We lost over thirty thousand dollars. We also found out through subcontractors that we were not the only clients this was happening to. It is kind of scary how a company can just change their name to wipe the slate clean.

We hired NALA Developments to renovate our kitchen, which included removing the old kitchen, adding new lights, paint, flooring and installing new cabinets and counter top. They did a fantastic job. Date of renovation was February 2012

Al took our deposit for the carpenter and kept it. He didn't pay the trades and we had to fight to keep from liens on our house. We can't get hold of him, nor can the BBB. He isn't even registered with the province to be able to collect deposits for work. The trades are good, he is terrible. He owes us over $5000. Run to the Hills!

Alan designed and developed our basement in 2009 which included a theatre room, bedroom, full bathroom and storage room.

We were very impressed with his attention to detail and creativity in designing a plan to fit all our needs into a challenging space.

His subcontractors were also a pleasure to work with and Alan made sure that they were on top of things.

The project was finished within the time promised and on budget.

I have recommended him to many friends and colleagues and have even hired him for some other commercial projects. We would certainly look for his services again on future projects.

Alan from Nala made sure that the project was done right the first time and on time. I will be sure to use his company again! Alan made sure that his subcontractors cared as much about the project as he did.
