Oil Tank Removal

My oil tank removal was contingent to my sale and needed to be completed within 2 weeks. I had called around and Fabio took the time to explain the process and also squeezed us in. He was responsive and the crew were amazing. Efficient, tidy and the job was done well. Neighbours were annoyed at first with the noise, but the crew chatted them up, and soon the neighbours were won over and engaged in our project. I would highly recommend them.

Oil Tank & Spill Consulting

After discovering our oil tank issue in our lot, Fabio met my wife and I on site and offered a few recommendations on how to manage our situation. He never tried to sell us anything or treat us like previous land remediation companies did and we want to thank him and his team for his expert advice.

We would definitely recommend his services to anyone looking to remove an oil tank from their

OIL TANK REMOVAL

In early August 2015 we decided to sell our house and listed it with an agent. On the recommendation of a friend we called CERC Oil Tank Removal. Fabio came to the house within an hour and upon receiving a written estimate by email within a couple of hours we hired him to do the work.

The tank was located under a deck and was covered in concrete. They managed to dig it out by hand since machines could not easily get access.
In spite of the tight time restraints imposed by a scheduled open house, the work was done quickly without disruption. Soil testing was completed, submitted to the City, and Inspection was obtained without delay. The site was promptly restored. Fabio kept us closely informed by email and was a pleasure to work with. I could not recommend any one more highly.

Oil Tank Removal

We were selling our house and needed our oil tank removed. We originally hired another company who were unable to remove it from under the garage. I was panicked by the estimated cost from the other company to leave it there and started calling around for help. Fabio assured me it could be done and they did it! I was telling a friend about them and she hired them last year and was also raving about their services. Thanks for taking care of us!!

Excavation of an underground storage tank

My wife and I are selling our property and upon a house inspection it was discovered there was an oil tank buried in our back yard. We originally called a number of companies and found only two that we felt comfortable hiring. In the end we hired Cerc because we saw good reviews on a number of websites (including here).
The tank was out fairly quickly, but there was quite a bit of mess because they were working while it was raining, so that took them quite a bit of time to clean up. Overall good experience

What could this company do to improve their services?
Got a voicemail every time I called them. I suggest making sure they pick up rather than playing phone tag
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
Apparently there is quite a bit of red tape with these kinds of jobs in some areas of Vancouver. It's mainly due to soil testing bylaws that could be quite stringent in one area, but nonexistent just across the street. I suggest talking to an environmental engineer to make sure the contractor is not under-quoting you, because if there are licenses you need to get, the cost is coming out of your own pocket

Digging out the oiltank from my back yard

CERC guys were great; they did a job fast and made practically no mess. I had one complaint from a neighbor about the noise, but what are you gonna do - the tank had to go because it was leaking oil, and it's not like the guys were making an excessive amount of noise at the time when that would have been disruptive anyway

I was told that I had no oil leaks and that my soil doesn't need to be decontaminated, and this is one thing that I was really impressed about with these guys. I know nothing about any of this stuff; they could have told me that the tests showed oil in the ground and I would have had to take their word for it. It's in their interest to sell me more work, but they never took advantage of that situation. Really impressed.

Tank removal

I hired these guys to remove my leaky oil tank. I was a little concerned because the friend from North Van recommended these guys, and she said they're based all the way where she lives. And given that I'm all the way in Abbotsford I wasn't sure if they'd come out here (turns out they do).
Anyway, they were very professional and uber-quick. Initially there was a bit of a problem getting to the area where the oil tank was buried, and I was worried they'd have to take down the hedge in order to get their excavator to dig it out. I had to go to a meeting halfway through their work so I was nervous if I were going to find a missing chunk in my beautiful hedge when I came back home. But when I was back a few hours later, the tank was out, and the hedge was never disturbed.
They were able to maneuver a bobcat (now I know what a bobcat is, btw) without making a big mess of the yard, and they were just cleaning up after themselves when I came back.
I'm very pleased with their demeanor and professionalism

What could this company do to improve their services?
Out of the 5 times I called them, I always had to leave a message. Although they're quite quick to return my call
Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
It's a good idea to make sure ahead of time that you tell them if the access to the oil tank might be tight for their machinery.
