I selected DS Plumbing because of your location,but more importantly to me,because of your affiliationwith animals,specifically cats. I have been doing cat/kitten rescue for over 15 years so was very happy to see the owner had rescued cats of his own..and some office cats too!! I am well known by Ottawa Valley Homeless pets for which you have magnets on your vans,which I think is just wonderful of you!! Thank you for that! I am involved with Hungry and Homeless Cat rescue located here in Ottawa and have been doing the best I can to raise funds for them.We were very happy and satisfied by your service. Both technicians that were here were great guys! We will be using your service again.

We have dealt with your company on several occasions in the last year and we've been serviced by Alex Robinson.When he came the first time he dealt with my brother who was renovating our basement. My brother, who has worked in the construction industry for most of his career, told us that he was really impressed by Alex both for his work ethics and knowledge. Since then, he has been back twice for other plumbing work and has always provided the same type of knowledgeable service.
We wouldn't hesitate to refer Alex and your company to anyone who needed plumbing services!

Alex saved the day quite literally as our busy family was needing to get to work last weekend when we encountered a plumbing issue which left us with no showers or toilets.He was punctual,prompt and super friendly which we definitely appreciated.We loved his booties which kept all of our carpets clean and dry :)
Alex took the time to explain the issues and how he would solve the problem. We were very impressed with his professional service. Our teenage son was extremely interested in Alex's profession and he was more than willing to answer some questions and had him stay in the basement to watch the entire process. I could hear him from the kitchen engaging with him, asking him to "take a look down there,watch for this in this pipe"
He went above and beyond his service call and we have and definitely will continue to recommend DS Plumbing to our co-workers and friends in the Ottawa area.

Really appreciated Craig's patience during an unexpected visit from my mother and 2-yr old nephew. He gave me numerous tips on how to address a powder room conversion project into a full bathroom, what product to use to clean out the kitchen pipes, etc.

I also commend DS Plumbing on its association with the Ottawa Humane Society.

Signed up for the PAWS club membership so we will be using you lots. 70 year old home so it is great to know we have a great company to rely on.

Having strange men in your home is not ideal, but we have all felt so comfortable with anyone you have sent to our homes. Thank you!

When I told them of our emergency, the office staff quickly arranged to have a service call fit in to a plumber's schedule. I was apprehensive regarding the quality and cost of the work which may be done because of my emergency situation; but I needn't have worried. The plumber who came (Keith) was calm, well equipped and knowledgeable. He surveyed the damage and explained how the job fit in to the company's flat rate schedule, so there were no surprises. The main leak was fixed. Then he went the extra step and examined other vulnerable points in the lines, where he found two more damaged pipes. These were all fixed under the original flat rate quote, so this wasn't just a way to pad the bill. He showed me how he did the repairs and how he used a technique to take the stress off of the line. This gave me some peace of mind. So from the personal and empathetic response from the office staff, to the service call itself, I was impressed.

Prompt & Efficient service by Keith, problem diagnosed in no time flat. Everything OK now . We know who to call now when we ever have another plumbing problem.

Reasonable service EXCEPT, the price was three times reasonable. More than $200/hour and this was for a twenty year old, not a master plumber. I had budget of $400 to reconnect kitchen sink, both supply and drainage, plus dishwasher tee. What I got was about 6 simple solder joints, but had to connect faucet, and had to install drainage and dishwasher myself, all for $475. Plus, they have a $50 charge to show up and estimate and it is added on to any work you get done. The fixed price table was confusing even for their plumber who hummed and hawed for about 10 minutes to find something that sort of fit my needs. I could have and likely should have sent him away but the that would have been a $50 charge and delay of a day for the over-quote. I communicated my comments to the plumber and to the company in my followup online survey so the owner cannot claim surprise about a low satisfaction. Bottom line was that service was okay, price was on the very high side. I would recommend that you do a bit of phoning around to find a competitive plumber. My DS fridge magnet has two large $$ signs etched with a sharpee so I remember.
