Calgary Deck Company

Dave Knight of the Calgary Deck company and I entered into a contract to complete a large, high end deck. Things were great at first, however he left significant deficiencies with the promise to fix them in the spring. Come spring, he informs me that the company is shut down and it's not his problem anymore (leaving me out about $3500). Very dishonest person. Also of interest, 2 weeks after shutting down his company he has started a new one - "the deck company". Same website exactly, same contact email. Use with caution.

I hired the Calgary Deck Company to build a fence around my backyard. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and professional. The job was done in a timely manner, and the end product is great. The only issue was the latch on the gate became misaligned after a few months, but a couple of screws took care of that.

i had the company com to our house and install a cedar fence and a composite deck. They were prompt and courtious while they worked. The quality of the fence was very good, but i had some dificulty with the gate. The pole on the gate twisted and now the door does not close. I will be asking thenm to repair, but do not think it will happen.

The most disappoint ment was with our composite deck. The deck look great but it seemed to be there first time with the composite material and the deck edges are not all lined up. the worst thing is that they did not put enough fastening screwws into the bouards so there are some lifting and the deck feels not secure when you walk on them. When it was mentioned to them they insisted that it was correct. For such an investment of almost $15,000 you would think they would do a better job. Because of this I would NOT recomend them or use them again.

Great work. They came on time and were very nice to work with. They removed the old fence and built the new one in less than a week.
I highly recommend them for your work.

I had Deckco come in to finish off a fence on my new house. They completed without issue. Nothing special though and better options are out there for both quality and customer service.
