Dean and his team completed our full basement apt reno as well as our exterior (re-sod, re-grading and fencing). They were extremely professional from start to finish. His team always kept the site cleaned after each day, kept open communication throughout and assisted with extras outside of the scope of work. Their attention to detail was above my expectations and completed the projects within the time frame initially specified. We highly recommend them, in fact...we already have done so to family members about to do work for them! Great work guys!

Dean and his crew are great to work with - this is not our 1st project with Dean, and certainly not the last. Dean was great, provided us with several options, and detailed estimate allowing us to work within our budget. His crew was great, very professional and ensuring to keep the work site cleaned up each evening - which was very important given our dogs. I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted when we started - so it was great to work with Dean to help create and complete my vision. We are very happy with the end design, and really pleased the project with completed on time, and within budget. Very Happy!!

Dean and his staff do a great work. They tell you when they can do it, how much it will cost and how long it will take and they stick to it. His prices were really reasonable and he fully explained the estimate and the final billing.

He did my driveway and walkway first. He arranged to have the interlock done as well as a new driveway put in. He made sure the contractors were there when they were supposed to be and the job was done on time and at the price he said. He also gives sound advice when you know what you want but need some fine tuning

Next he did my bathroom. I had a good idea what I wanted but again helped me with the fine tuning and gave me good advice on where to go for tiles, etc... since I wanted to pick them out myself. They kept the area clean and always cleaned up before they left for the day.

I would use this company again for future work whether it be inside or out!!

We have used J.D Mizzi and Associates for two outdoor projects and have been very happy with every aspect of the jobs completed.

The job to be done is clearly explained and agreed upon before any work is started, all crew members are polite and hardworking, and the finished project is as expected if not better.

The cost charged is very reasonable for the quality of work and attention to detail you receive.

We had our back patio and walkway completed first, and when it came time to update the front walkway a few years later there was no question as to who we would contact to do the job for us.

Suggestions on layout and design was appreciated and creative, appropriate selection of materials, stone, lighting, lawn sprinklers and plants for intended budget and corner house. Workmanship was professional and timeless and trades were respectful of the property and neighbours. Job site was kept clean and safe during the renovation

I can't say enough about Dean Mizzi and his team. Job started and ended exactly as quoted. The team is personable and left the job site tidy each night - I am thrilled with the results and highly recommend them to anyone.

J. D. Mizzi and Associates is a great company, and we were very happy to hire them to do our landscaping project which consisted of lowering our backyard (the swale was ridiculous), adding a patio, doing a soldier course for our driveway, and completely re-doing our front steps and walkway and recovering our porch.

The workers were very friendly and truly listened to what we said. When we asked questions, we did not feel as though we were being condescended to as some contractors can make you feel. The workers understood that landscaping is not our area of expertise (if it were, we would do it ourselves!).

As a shift worker often sleeping during the day, the workers were generally considerate of noise (where possible) and did not play music that was overtly loud. They did their best to ask questions at times when I was available. The work was very precise and we were never nervous about the outcome as we have been with contractors in the past. We were always confident that our project would look fabulous.

While e-mail communication could sometimes be a little slow, if we called the project manager, Dean, at any time, he was either immediately available, or called us back shortly. He was present on-site at least once a day and consulted us at regular intervals. When we needed something added on or changed, he was happy to comply or to explain if it either couldn't be done, or present an acceptable alternative.

Our family and neighbours have had nothing but compliments for our landscaping project and I can't wait until Spring to play my garden!
