Ecowest Renovations-No Longer in Business

Office workers and crew were very personable. We are very happy with the windows and door we had installed! Would recommend Ecowest to anyone looking for a professional renovation company.

Very bad company with little regard for attention to detail or customer service over all. The jobsite was generally left messy and unkempt with tools and materials left on site and not picked up even after notification of the fact. Roofing nails left on the driveway and on both my front and side lawns causing concern for my 2 small dogs feet. The side gate was broken and neither reported or repaired. My dogs might have been able to get out to their peril. Inspections that supposed to be done before the work even started were nether performed or reported upon. Installation of attic insulation was not performed as we had been advised.
The worst and most worrying part is that my house siding was burned and melted and this was neither reported or repaired, It has now been fully 2 months since a meeting with the owner and the salesman to make arrangements for repairs. No phone calls, no discussion, no idea if they even intend upon doing anything to repair my house. of the damage caused by their workers.
Do not use this company unless you are prepared to be on site daily and supervise.

This sites reviews weighted heavily on my decision to go with EcoWest Renovations but unfortunately they did not deliver. Very poor caulking, lots of scratches and hand prints everywhere! Everyone was sorry and an attempt was made to make repairs but this experience was truly awful. I was compensated for damages but I really feel my installation was rushed and I did not feel like the workers really cared what they were doing that day : (

I’ve been meaning to write this note for a few weeks now, but, as you know, unfortunately work and life has many distractions that just eats up the time.

In any event, I would like to officially say THANK YOU to you and your crew for hanging in there on this reno project of ours.

Both Justine and I really do appreciate the extra effort that came from you and all your team members particularly on these last two "make good" items. The sliding doors are as per the concept and the fireplace surround is perfect. John the blacksmith was amazing and his expertise and master craftsmanship were exactly what the job called for. Not to mention his lovely demeanor and charming stories.

As you well know, everyone has their horror stories about home renovations, and finding quality trades people sometimes seems like trying to find the Holy Grail. I’d like you to know that I believe we found that "quality” in your company and in the attitude with which you approached and resolved any and all of the inevitable and unforeseen obstacles that challenged us along the way. The word I use when people ask about your company is “Integrity”. I explain to people the challenges we faced (again like in most projects) and how you dealt with them head on, responsibly, with a positive attitude, and 100% follow-up. All the attributes of a company run by a leader and backed-up by a team with “Integrity”.

I know that we may be on the list as “those clients”, but I’m hoping that now, at the end of it all, we can look back and feel proud of our accomplishments. We had an overall vision and through a lot of hard work, patience and tenacity, as a team, we prevailed.

We are very proud of our new home and our visitors are always blown away by the results of our hard work.

Windows were installed ahead of the date promised. Fantastic staff and crew. We appreciated Shawn's help,honesty and patience in choosing the right window style and Moe and his friendly hard working installation crew. Their price was in the middle but their product was the best. There was no damage to the house and they left the area spotless. We couldn't be happier with our choice of Ecowest.

Our home was built in the 1920s and the siding was a concrete/rock mix applied to lathe... very thick and very heavy. Ecowest was hired to remove all the old siding, replace it with Hardy shingle and Hardy board, paint and a few extra odds and ends. Overall Ecowest was professional and trustworthy. We had a few missteps on schedule and payments but the quality of work was first rate and there were no surprises on costs.

We had our front door replaced by Ecowest, and are very pleased with the result. We had a small miscommunication during the install in regards to the doorbell, but a service call made several months after the fact (I am a terrible procrastinator) provided us with some very reasonable options for correction. The door and sidelight look amazing and work great!

Last summer, we decided to extend our master suite, which involved reconfiguring the layout of the floorplan. This was in conjuction with the replacement of the roof, which was handled by another company. We researched several contracting companies and chose the best bid, which was moderate. Ecowest won the bid due to the fact that they were very thorough in the initial consulation, pointing out improvements which we hadn't thought of.

They helped us make wise decisions which saved time and money as opposed to constant change of decisions--due in part to the well-thought out planning.

From the first call to final clean-up, they were professional and went beyond the call of duty. We plan of having them work on our next project should we ever need to.
