Whenever I need a technician, I rely upon excellent reviews or recommendations by my brother who was involved with home renovations. Approximately 3 1/2 years ago, my brother recommended Keith's services for a failing furnace. It was 28 years old and required repair. Keith examined the furnace and quickly determined the problem. He was concerned the required part might be obsolete but made some inquiries and obtained the part. I was really impressed! Disreputable companies would have recommended a brand new furnace. Keith installed the part and the total cost was approximately $150! A year later at a different property, Keith examined a 30 year old furnace and, once again, was concerned the required part might be obsolete. He managed, however, to locate the part. The total cost of parts and labour was about $450 - a bargain compared to a new furnace! In both instances. Keith went the extra mile to search for the parts needed. He also charged an extremely reasonable fee. He has all the business traits that I value: experience, competence, fairness, and honesty. I highly recommend Keith and will always contact him when encountering furnace problems.

I highly recommend A Degree Above. Our 35 year old 80% efficient furnace was reaching end of life and we figured it should be replaced in the spring, rather than have it die on us next winter, plus it was time to install a Hi efficiency unit. A friend strongly recommended A Degree Above to us. We called Keith and arranged a convenient time for him to give us an estimate. In these Covid times he was fully in sync with the heath requirements. We have a 1952 bungalow with additions font and back leaving essentially only 2 options for routing the combustion air and flue gas pipes - out the south side wall or up the existing chimney. We had a fairly new water heater and didn't want to replace it, which left the one option - not an easy routing - out the side wall. Keith gave us a very professional and honest assessment of what was required and how it could be done. There was no trying to sell something not needed. The price for supply and installation was very competitive. We discussed a couple of options for furnace size and efficiency to help select the right one for us. We arranged for installation in the spring and it was accomplished in a couple of mornings. Morning one to prepare and install the peripherals - e.g. combustion air and flue gas piping, and the following morning to remove the old unit, bring in and install the new furnace followed by clean up and removal of all the old ducting, old furnace etc. We found him to be a hard, efficient, clean and dependable worker. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - a local small business owner that is worth supporting!

We had our furnace and our A/C unit replaced. This is a small and local business, a one man shop and Keith the owner does a great job! He is always concerned that you get what you asked for. Very competitive pricing and does not try to over sell you. The install was very tidy and organized, from the drop cloths on the floors to the zip ties on the wiring. The new equipment was fired up and run in and adjustments made. Keith made sure everything was working correctly and looking good. Keith the owner response to my request for help very promptly. He is professional and reasonable with his pricing. A honest businessman. If he thinks the parts will still work, he would tell you so, and advice not to replace it yet. I have been dealing with him for many years, and would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone

When i called Keith and explained our situation he was prompt for our apointment the next day. He was efficient to asses the problem and provide quotes.
