New Funace and Humidifier Installation

A Plus Air installed a new Heat Pump and furnace as well as humidifier in our home for $15,000.
After the installation we had very dry air in the house which caused us discomfort sleeping at night. We often called A Plus Air to service our system annually. 9 years had passed and we finally discovered that A Plus Air had never cut a hole into the furnace duct to allow moist air to flow from our humidifier through our heating system. They attached the humidifier flange to the solid metal wall of the exterior of the furnace with 8 screws but never cut a 6 inch hole into the furnace. They have the sales contract yet denied they installed the humidifier and refused responsibility unless I provided my receipt. It took me 6 months to locate my receipt when they had the paperwork all this time.
I'm very disappointed with A Plus Air's refusal to take accountability and will never use them again

Unprofessional not trust worthy

Its the first time I ever dealt with Reshad for the generator maintenance and he is not trust worthy from my prior experience. Since they are the installer of the generator, they should know its a 2011 0r 2012 model and they should bring me the air filter for annual maintenance. When he came, he changed the spark plugs and the oil but the air filter. When I demanded to see the old parts, he claimed that he put that away. Thus, I open up the air filter box and learned that he didn't change it at all. During my confrontation, he simply told me that I don't need to change the air filter and my filter is extremely clean. after I showed him that it was recommended to replace air filter annually per Generac website, he admitted that the office gave him the wrong onw. He promised to replace it after the office ordered the right part for me. Since I deal with A plus for years, I gave him the benefit of doubt and pay in full. Nonetheless, he never came back to replace the filter! I was extremely regretted not withholding the costs of the air filter but pay in full!!!
On October 16, 2022, I scheduled a maintenance appointment with A Plus again and mentioned to the store manager (a woman with accent) to bring me the correct air filter and to bring me an extra one that they owed me! She assured that the technician has the parts and he will fulfill the job with no doubt!
When the technician came without the air filter, he tried to convince me to change the oil and spark plugs first, and he will come back to replace the air filter. Based upon the prior experience, I refused to let him do the work and called the office immediately.
The office committed to order the air filter(S) if I can forward the picture of the air filter to her via MSG and an appointment will be scheduled subsequently. Since she never calls me back , I followed up with her the next date. The manager claims about the manufacturer no long produces the parts for the generator model that was produced prior to 2014 and she told me that they no longer provide services to customers living in Richmond hill when a technician is dispatched to the site without performing the job! She claimed that the other service providers are more expensive and she merely charging $299 by treating me as a loyal customer! LOL! what a joke!!!!!!
As a result of her inappropriate tone during our phone conversations, I argued with her that if she ordered the correct air filter, I shouldn't have any problem to pay the said amount, $299 plus tax! I even question her whether will she pay in full if the promises is never being fulfilled???
After the unpleasant conversations with A Plus, I found another service provider who carries the genuine Generac parts for my 2012 Generac guardian 14kwh generator for a service package costs $250!

BEWARE OF A PLUS' misleading promises AND THEIR UNPROFESSIONAL MANNERS!

BTW, I have them to replace my battery on November 17, 2020 and the battery is the cheap no brand name generic battery that has life spam of 2 years. I have the technician to check the battery voltage and that's what I learned!
I definitely will never recommend A Plus air system from Etobicoke!

STAY AWAY FROM A PLUS LOCATED IN ETOBICOKE! I WILLGIVE THEM A "ZERO" STAR INSTAED OG THE MINIMUM RATING "ONE" STAR!!!

New HVAC system - two years on

Two years ago A Plus installed a new furnace and AC in my house. They were very professional and nice and everything seemed fine.

Two years after installation, we noticed the AC was not as effective as before. We called A Plus and got a prompt response, however, the issue was not fully resolved. A Plus technicians visited our home two more times to thoroughly check our HVAC system and replace certain parts, and eventually were able to resolve the problem to our full satisfaction.

It is standard across the industry to charge labor fee if you don't have extended warranty, something we are very upfront and transparent about. We provide labor warranty for initial one year of installation. Further, Senior Technician came there after maintenance was done and found leak in coil so the part was ordered from manufacturer as it was covered under warranty, Additionally, when an equipment is under warranty, it's important we follow the manufacturers process and order through them otherwise they would have denied your claim, this is why there was a delay. New A/C and Furnace

New Trane A/C, furnace, and thermostat. Had some initial problems with the system but A Plus resolved all of our issues and our system has been performing very nicely ever since. We weren’t initially thrilled with the installation, but the final job after some subsequent follow up work is great. End result: great system, nice installation, and happy with their support.

Boiler Repair - Be Careful with A-Plus

Be very careful if you plan on hiring A-Plus.
Our heat was off and we were expecting a baby imminently, so we called A-Plus back in September to fix our boiler and also install a new towel warmer radiator in our bathroom. After multiple no-shows and canceled appointments, we begged to have someone come by because we had a four day old infant and no heat. The tech finally came a month after the initial call. After several hours, he told us that he had switched out the external circulator pump (at a cost of $660 plus tax for the part alone - we later learned this retails for $150-$200), but that there was an additional part that was broken and would need to be replaced to get the heat on again. He told us that he wasn’t sure if they could find the part, and that either way, the boiler was not worth repairing and we should spend $9K on a new one. The boiler is not at the end of its life, and was purchased from and maintained by A-Plus, so this came as a surprise to us. The tech said that he could come install a new boiler the next week, but that he didn’t know when he could come back if we wanted to repair it. He then charged us for the new part (which we did not authorize), and left us with no heat and no indication if/when anyone would come back to fix the boiler. We called the office and spoke to Steven, who also could not tell us when someone would come back and discouraged us from repairing the boiler.

We felt like they were only interested in selling us a new unit (funnily enough, the same make that "broke" and was impossible to fix) instead of fixing the issue, so we got a second opinion from another company. A tech looked at the boiler and determined that A-Plus failed to turn a valve at the back of the unit that would have turned the heat back on. Furthermore, we learned that the old circulator pump and boiler both worked perfectly and did not have to be switched out. The boiler was not broken at all and the circulator pump could have been reused by swapping out a $10 check valve. This was all accomplished within 40 minutes at a cost of $75, whereas A-Plus spent hours “diagnosing“ the issue, charged over $1400 and did not restore our heat. The boiler has been heating our house for over two weeks now with no issues.

We try to see the best in people but we can’t help but feel that A-Plus saw how desperate we were with a newborn and no heat and used this to their advantage to attempt to try and sell us a new boiler we didn't need. A more generous assessment is that the tech they sent is incompetent. Either way, we are initiating a charge back for the part that did not need to be replaced and staying far away from A-Plus for any future work in our house. Don't trust them blindly!

We were finally able to identify this customer, I was dealing with customer named Brenden Ruddick he said, he recently hired a contractor to install radiators and run new pipe and installation did not go well as planned, the new rad has broken and leaking due to unprofessional installation. According to customer he approached few other contractor but none willing to do the job due to the fact that sub floor has to open up from below floor to access to leak, moreover someone cut the hot water line on boiler room and capped it to avoid the flood. After hearing the job details we refused the job as well thinking not to involve in disputed and messed up job. Mr. Ruddick was after me with so many phone calls to somehow do the job as the winter is approaching I quoted him our hourly rate plus materials and total invoice came $1300 for fixing the leak, replacing/ fixing the leaky broken rad, reconnecting hot water circulation line at boiler room, supply and install a new circulation pump, bleeding whole system to remove air bubbles start up the boiler. I quoted him such low rates because he is our existing customer who bought a boiler and ductless air condition from us 10 years ago. It was unfortunate that a review like this one pop up after doing the job with out any hint from customer about our job or pricing before hand. I tried to reach Mr. Ruddick few times with message left on the phone to call me back, so far no response. Mr Ruddick can still contact us to resolve this issue.

Hot Water Tank

I had a problem with my hot water tank. Rashid was there very quickly and able to fix it. The experience from start to finish was A+! I would definitely recommend them.

Easter weekend saved

Furnace quit Easter weekend, Said came out, diagnosed and fixed quick, parts in hand. Orig purchased furnace and rennai water heater from APlus back in 2007/2008...first repair since new! Very happy.

Replace Hot Water Tank

Needed to replace a 50gal hot water tank. David at Air Plus was able to tell us exactly what we should install and gave us a very reasonable quote. Abas and his crew showed up on time, removed the old tank and carried out the installation which required some additional work on their part (at no additional cost!). They were polite, very professional, and cleaned up after the install. They were recommended to me by my father-in-law and I would also like to endorse them. I will certainly use them in the future. It is very reassuring to find a company that is trust worthy.

Furnace and Air Conditioner Installation

A Furnace and Air Conditioner replacement was urgently needed due to a potential safety issue. A Plus Air Systems was contracted through Enercare and performed the work 11/28/2020. Qais and Brad completed a very professional and first-rate installation after quickly and neatly removing the old equipment. Their work was high quality, neat and clean. Moreover they were very pleasant and polite and took the time to answer all of our questions. Before leaving they performed a complete system test and also provided a basic overview of the new system.

Heating and cooling system install

Wonderful company to work with. Very helpful at every step of the way. Guided us with picking the right products for our needs, which was quite complicated as we had a unique install.
