Had Professional Roofers install new roof and drip edge in October 2013 - work seemed fine however drip edge seemed too long. One year later - had eaves replaced and to my dismay - they claim that the drip edge installed was for flat roofs. Eaves company had to remove drip edge and install new (correct) drip edge. Too bad as I was initially happy with their work. If getting a drip edge - clarify in advance.

- Company Response
Mr. Peter, following up your concerns in Home Stars please take a note that for us customer service is a very important part of our company, that is why our phone works 7 days a week, and we try always our best to provide the best service in each of our jobs. I do not agree with the eaves-troughs company that you higher. Drip edge comes in different sizes the idea of the 3inch drip edge is to cover any gaps within your roof and eaves troughs, in that way if animals try to squish in like birds or squires they won’t be able to get in. If a reputable company would like to install an eaves under 3 inch drip edge should not have a problem installing it since it is more efficient and better work. Also to be able to remove a 3 inch existing drip edge is almost impossible not to damage the shingles and the ice protection Undernet, for that reason we would love to go back to your house to inspect your roof to ensure that you don’t have any damage tiles for future references. Another thing we would like to you to know, is that cost price in 3inch galvanised drip edge is more expensive then the ½ aluminum star strip, if that is the case of what your contractor installed for you.
Never the less we are here to help you and we would be more then happy to do a free inspection on your roof because we are looking for your file and we cannot find you as a customer please call us at 416 604 9765 to schedule a free inspection at your convenience time.
