We were looking to completely renovate our powder room in our 10 year old home. We decided that we would change the faucet, sink as well as the toilet. We contacted Duguay's Works to notify them of our interest and that we would like some pointers.

A representative came and we sat down to discuss what work we would like done as well as the different types of faucet and sink combos to choose from. We already made a set decision on the type of toilet however. After a consultation period, a day and time was set and the contractor came on time as per the scheduled date and completed the work promptly and efficiently.

Our powder room has never been amazing like before. Our friends and family always ask us how we did it and we simply just said we didn't but a great contracting company did.

Kale and his team did an excellent job installing new hardwood flooring, treads on the stairs, a new banister, new baseboards and new doors throughout our house. They also primed and painted all the rooms. Each job was completed by a professional and experienced specialist. Each expert took great pride in their part of our project. The jobs were well coordinated and the entire project was completed ahead of schedule. I rave about Kale to all my friends and family that are looking for any type of home renovation. The advice we received was always professional, within our budget, and with our family’s best interests in mind. When I added small changes to the original project Kale was flexible, understanding, and took care of every detail. Kale painted our entire house, ceilings included. He researched the proper primer to use because our home smelled of cigarette smoke, which took care of the smell and the staining on the ceilings. Kale was very receptive to feedback and treated my home like it was his own. He showed great pride in his work. Overall we are thrilled with the work the team completed. Their price was fair and competitive. The detailed job quote I received before the project began was referred to throughout the job, any extra requests were quoted on site. treats Kale home as if it is his own and his staff are truly excellent

We chose Cale as contractor for the rebuilding of our deepened basement. It turned out to be a good choice. Our house is old and the project was intimidating for us but Cale
had the skills and experience to steer us through it to completion. He and his men were fast and efficient, leaving the job site tidy at the end of each day's work. Cale coordinated workers and jobs to minimize lost time. He made himself available—when requested—to talk about scheduling or aspects of the job we didn't understand. From the outset he demonstrated flexibility by taking on work that hadn't been part of the original job description. He gave us advice without telling us what to do. In a little more than 2 months our empty shell of a basement was transformed into a comfortable addition to our living space

We have used Duguay's works to initially build out our commercial space for a physio clinic a number of years ago. The work was timely, professional, and tidy. The clinic needed another additional room and we felt Cale and his staff did a great job the first time, we had to get him back. It was a simple partition wall with doorway that was easily framed, drywalled and prepped for painting in one day! The work was well done and I would recommend Cale for anyone looking for an honest, experienced contractor to take care of your needs. His quotes are fair and he follows through with his word. We called Cale in desperation when our previous contractor left us with a massive mess a few days before the delivery of a custom door system was due to be installed. Our back wall had been removed and the framing for the new door was clearly off center and uneven. It was the busiest time of the year.
Cale arrived later that day and agreed to take the job to help us out (he was working on something else nearby). We were greatful to say the least. He did a fantastic job, made suggestions based on issues that came up, and contacted tradespeople to address those issues. His team are polite, trustworthy and capable.
We were so happy with Cale's work that we had him do our back deck and fence and structural work in the basement and around the house.
Cale is a trustworthy and knowledgeable contractor, which is a rarity in this city from our experience. We will use him again and can recommend him without reservation.

Very professional, meticulous with keeping things clean and respecting homeowners space, reasonable rates. The issue was a design flaw so he fixed the problem as best he could and then referred us to a colleague of his who speciallizes in plumbing and we now have it permanently fixed. Excellent job redoing the ceiling that was damaged by the water leak.

Cale and his team were very responsive and able to work around timing constraints on my side very well. They were very pleasant to deal with and did a great job at what seems like a reasonable price for the time/materials it took to fix.

Would definitely recommend them to friends/family.

We gained possession of our new house (100+ years old) in May. Cale was asked to gut and redo the 2nd floor washroom, remove some walls on the main floor, remove tiles in the entrance way and install a washer/dryer on the main floor washroom. Him and his crew were very reliable and worked long hours to ensure we were able to move in 6 weeks later. Cale consistently updated me throughout the project to ensure things were running smoothly. We ran into a few hiccups along the way but Cale was able to step in and get the job done. I would and have recommended Cale to others. The only area of improvement for Cale would be the finishes. There were a few vents that were not tied in and the caulking around the tub was done very sloppily. However, Cale was quick to respond well after the project ended, to drop by and address the issues. Thanks a lot!

Overall, the work was well done albeit with a few problems. As with any job, careful management and setting of expectations is critical. While we would not choose to work with this company again, this is not to say that they would do a bad job for others.
