First purchase : Big Disapointment

Mobilia offers attractive furniture design but poor quality and service. In November 2022, I bought a wood chair from the Japandi Collection. The chair was delivered a month later. At first sight, it was grossly unsatisfactory with the chair wood seat deeply split across and the feet badly scratched. Mobilia was negligent in not checking furniture before delivery. After lots of time spent with Client services, the chair was picked up, I was reimbursed for the cost of the chair but they refused to reimburse the $69 delivery fee. I do not see why I would have to pay this amount when the problem was entirely due to Mobilia's lack of care and negligence. A pretty costly way to learn never to buy at Mobilia. I'll make sure to share freely with friends my bad experience with Mobilia.

Damaged sofa damaged hard wood floors

Mobilia in Burlington ON After paying for our sofa and then finding the sofa it on sale later for $1000 less ( that they promised they would let us know of course ) they were very reluctant to adjust the price.
On delivery the delivery men broke one of the legs didn't tell us and proceeded to drag in on our floor gouging out a chunk of more than 3 planks of flooring. There was also a massive grease stain and indentation in the sofa leather padding we've heard nothing from them for more than 3 weeks now. they do not respond well and I would never go to this store again

Long wait for delivery, poor quality

My purchase experience at their castle field branch was great. Very helpful customer service personnel. However, I unfortunately have to echo some of the reviews on two points: the poor delivery service, and the poor quality of the goods delivered.

I bought a king sized bed. It was delivered with a scratch on the head board which I decided to just accept. The delivery guys did not want to take it upstairs as it “wouldn’t fit”. When I asked them to try (as I had checked the dimensions several times), they complained that it wouldn’t and yet ultimately it took 10 min to get it up the stairs. The bed was assembled very poorly and continues to wobble.
I made the mistake of purchasing more furniture. This time it was a dining table. Again the purchase experience was great, but it was delivered 2 months late. When it arrived, it was cracked and the table leg was chipped. The delivery person said it wasn’t his problem. I called customer service and I’m still waiting to hear back.

I am very disappointing by the quality I received. If I wanted packed-furniture quality, I wouldn’t have paid thousands of dollars and waited months for a dining table. I certainly won’t be buying from them again.

Terrible service and damaged goods

Over a year ago their incompetent drivers unwrapped couch and chair outside then proceeded to drop couch on concrete stairs, obviously leather ripped. Waited a year for replacement, deliver driver were good this time kept it boxed up, but now couch legs are different colours. So they offered to give me $200 to keep odd pieces, told them to return originals and offer me compensation. No phone call and they showed up to deliver today I wasn't home. Didn't receive

Furnishing our condo

Efficient, courteous, professional, helpful, patient and knowledgeable is all the staff at this location and those working at dispatch. Special mention goes to RESHMA who works in the Mississauga location. She has all of the above qualities and skills and was able to resolve all our requests so very promptly, being always available. Our now modern condO, is well furnished by Mobilia's well made products. I would highly recommend going to Mobilia if you want peace of mind when purchasing well made furniture.

Poor quality products and horrible customer service

Our review of mobilia just went up on google:

I wish I could say Mobilia’s products were good quality and I wish I could say Mobilia stood by their products and provided decent customer service, particularly as according to their website Mobilia prides themselves “in offering the kind of customer service that emphasizes [their supposed] commitment to cultivating a long-term relationship with [their] clientele. While [supposedly they] recognize that sometimes things do go wrong, [according to their website they supposedly] make it a priority to help [their] customers find the best resolution possible to ensure their satisfaction.” Their website also states that Mobilia’s furniture comes with a one year warranty on parts and labour against manufacturer damage (both website statements have proven to be blatantly wrong as the information below will illustrate). All I can say is stay away from their furniture and their lack of care and service for customers.

We bought six items, 4 of which were Evora stools in May 2021 and they were delivered in June 2021 (delivery delayed without notification). Only two stools were used maybe a total of 5 times since May. Less than three months later I contacted Mobilia because all four stools appeared to be damaging at the exact same location, evidence of a product defect or manufacturing defect. Based on Mobilia’s “commitment/pride” quoted above and their supposed “one year warranty on parts and labour against manufacturer damage” as stated on their website, We contacted them less than three months from receipt of the furniture. We provided Mobilia with all the information they requested and pictures as requested, they told us they would send a technician. I was first told technician would come on a Sunday and then he didn’t show; then we got a call to schedule and technician came just last weekend. His inspection lasted less than 5 minutes and he asked no questions, he told us they all look the same hence a Mobilia technician pointing to same conclusion - a manufacturer defect. Somehow today we got a call saying no refund would be issued as it was household Damage. My husband got upset because how could we damage four stools in an identical spot in the same manner and he was told to proceed to write reviews about the company, that response depicts the quality of customer service and the pride and care they take on their products and customers. Sadly I had been looking at additional furniture from Mobilia but their care for customers (or should I say lack thereof) has made me second guess and I will now look elsewhere.

Good quality furniture

Actual colour of the leather is richer than shown on the website. Quality is great for the money. Getting the furniture was challenging with many delays. Likely some of the delivery challenges were attributed to pandemic and limited staff.

Marble table and sofa

I had a particularly awful experience with Mobilia and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I bought a reclining sofa and a round marble table. The sales process went smoothly and the associates were helpful. However, the support I received after the fact was a nightmare.

At the time of purchase, the sales representative said that the table would never have any issues but after just three months, I noticed a large amount of staining on the table. Attempts at cleaning the table were unsuccessful as it appeared to have been embedded deep within the marble itself.

I asked some professionals to take a look and was told that usually marble has to be sealed in order to protect against staining and that the factory most like neglected to perform this critical step before delivering it to me.

I reached out to customer service and got Gabriella, they told me that it’s my problem and that they couldn’t help me. I asked for a supervisor and got Arnold, they promised to call me back. Two months went by and they never called me.

The sofa I bought also had an issue where the spring would occasionally make an audible pop when standing up. I reached out about it and got them to come out and take a look. The technician said to me that there was nothing wrong with the spring but would contact me with regards to getting someone to take the sofa back to the factory to resolve the issue.

Again, no one ever replied back to me. I reached out again to customer service and got Alisha, who promised to get back to me but another week passed and nothing. I called Alisha again, this time seeking to speak to their supervisor, to which they said they wouldn’t do.

So I have no idea what kind of business they’re running over there but I am absolutely disgusted by their customer service. It’s one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. If this is the level of warranty I got, could you imagine how absolutely abysmal the extended warranty must be.

Kitchen Table

Great

Very nice customer service. The sales manager is responsive and show great patience! She was able to accommodate my need on a timely basis and is very responsive to my needs. She checkedother store for the size of kitchen table and I found my dream furniture that looks amazing!

TERRIBLE DELIVERY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!

Hello,

First I would like to say that Mobilia does have nice furniture. I like how nice and modern it looks, very much fits what I am looking for and style. I had a very nice sales person help me place what I want to buy.

This is the part where I was EXTREMELLY upset about. My delivery was scheduled on Saturday between 7 am to 10 am. The delivery person called me (Mark) and I give him specific instruction where to park and where I was located. Turns out that the delivery person did not want to delivery my goods. The delivery Mobilia service called me and said " It is too far, too cold, it is a special delivery, is there anywhere closer, it is too far of a walk, to heavy, etc. The excuses goes on and on. So wasted 2 hours of my life and woke up early for nothing.
They said they would call on Monday, heard nothing (called multiple times). Finally called me on Tuesday asking me to pay an extra $100 for special delivery. Also, how the delivery company was charging Mobilia for $600. I told them that I am not paying anything and that I am NEVER buying anything from Mobilia again. Then the lady put me on hold for 5 minutes talking to her supervisor and finally waived that fee.
The lady said the latest they are going to come is 7pm. Did not eat dinner until 9pm because the delivery people did not come until 8:20pm.

The delivery service was good, they were fast and built everything for me.

So bottom line, if you buy anything from Mobilia I suggest you put it in your car. If you order anything big just get ready for the headache. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE (I cannot stress this more) delivery customer service. They are rude, hard to get a hold of, not reliable AT ALL and you have to keep at it with them.
