I spent 3½ years as a heavy construction inspector, including roofing.
This job was a rental duplex I have owned for 22 years.

The installers were careful, courteous, safety conscious and took their time to do a very good job.
With roofing, especially a complicated roof, the devil is in the details, especially the flashings. No point in buying a hundred year roof if the flashing details are only good for a decade. Silicone caulking is NOT an acceptable method of flashing anything more than a doghouse. New Steel Roofers were very good about flashing around skylights and against walls using proper counter flashings and reglets (look in up).
They will definately be roofing my 135 year old heritage house when the time comes.

After much research and listening to quite a few companies tell me why metal roofs were superior to asphalt shingles my wife and I were left with deciding between aluminum and steel for our roof. We settled on New Steel Roofers because we liked the method of installation of the roof. Their method seemed to me to give better air circulation than some others. We also did not like the price of aluminum and did not like the fact that you need snow guards.
My only concern was that the installers did not install the roof as stated by the salesman, though they did a very good job. I did have to call them back to increase the ridge venting which they did. Overall my wife and I are very happy with the overall job and we have received many compliments on our new roof.

Since the work couldn't start for another few weeks, they had a water-resistant membrane installed on my roof first to help with any rainfall.
The installation itself was fast, and there was not any garbage left behind.

New Steel Roofers, Hamilton were responsive to our request for quote. Their crew were professionals - neatly dressed, no loud music blaring during installation, polite. They cleaned up the site constantly and left no mess. The roof installation is beautiful. Rows are even, trim is straight. They even colour matched the vent stack with compound and crushed stone to match the shingle colour! When it rains the product doesn't produce any noise like that experienced by my son's click metal product on his home. We just couldn't be happier with the job or the final result!

This was our first experience with a new house construction and a new roof, and we were very pleased with the process and the results.
