Absolutely terrible. A/C was making noise. Called to have serviced. The guy came & spent a total of 10 minutes & didn't really do anything. Not even any basic maintenance. They then charged us $285 +tx. After complaining about the service, they said they'd send someone else to do some basic maintenance. That second guy (Brandon) showed up & spent about the same amount of time & basically did nothing as well. On our outside unit, he used our garden hose to hose the unit down and left. You engage these guys at your own risk. Not professional at all & overcharge for services.

BEWARE!!! I called in for an urgent appointment. They did come within 24hrs which was good. I paid $471 for the visit. All downhill from there. Technician assessed the problem and said I needed a replacement valve which cost $225. Second visit, technician changed the valve then said I needed to change the reversing valve which was another $259. Never was I told that I would pay $600 for 90 minutes of labor and truck/mileage cost(they are 7kms away from me) for that one visit which didn't fix the problem!!!! They were never transparent with their pricing and I feel I was definitely taken advantage of!!! This is gouging!! When I asked for, and I had to ask, what the quote would be to replace the 2nd valve, I was given a quote of $1,747.56, $1,020 for 3 hours, that is $340/hour for labor and $259 for the part!!!! Really!!!! My system is left unfixed I am out $1,386.05!!! I tried to negotiate the fees but they wouldn't budge, they offered me $600 off a new unit of $8000 which of course I would never use these guys again so I told them to come get their part which was already installed and deduct it from my invoice!! Lesson learned the hard way. From my intensive research online, I find out these guys are notorious for gouging people and providing bad service. A reputable company would have told me it wasn't worth putting one more cent into my system. The company I now hired was totally transparent and took 30 minutes to explain everything to me! Thank goodness there are still honest ones out there!

I am a very unsatisfied customer. I felt like they took advantage of us as consumers. The pricing was not transparent and it feels like we paid way more than we should have. Poor communication and not transparent pricing policy. Not happy camper!!

I came home to an absolutely freezing house, with a very strong burning smell throughout, very toxic. At 7PM I had to search for a company who could come right away, as it is going down to -29C. JCD was able to send a technician right away. He was very efficient in finding the problem, and was friendly. My Lennox heater needs replacing, but he was able to get my furnace back up and running for the night, so I have my heat on again! Great service all around, I don't know how I could've gone to sleep with no heat, so I'm a very satisfied customer right now.

My experience with JCD; rude, no show, unprofessional, complete disregard for customer. I had my unit installed in 2017, but noticed in the fall of 2019 that my garment bags were ladened with rust water from a leak from pipes running through my closet. This most probably started shortly after installation by the looks of the bags.

I called JCD in June 2020 to have a look. I was given an appointment in early July. On the day of the appointment, no one showed or called. I called back and was asked to call back at 4PM. At 4PM, still no show so I called back and was asked to call again at 6PM. My wife called at 6PM and that is when things became complicated.

Suddenly she was told that they had no record of the appointment and was simply told to give them our coordinates and get this -- "We'll see" was his response. Frustrated and angry, she just hung up.

Being a patient consumer, I wrote an email to Chris explaining the situation and asked he replies or calls me to discuss, if they stand by their workmanship. I waited 4 days for a reply, but received none. They simply don't care.

I called another contractor who came the same day and repaired the fault in 10 minutes. The issue was improperly insulated pipes.

I was impressed with the high-level of customer service from beginning to end, and how well the team worked together replacing my system throughout the day without any breaks. A small issue arose and they were able to solve it almost immediately. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a top notch installation by great people.

I would never use JCD again, Chris sold me a 2 year old thermostat as being new, charged me 37$ more than full retail, charged me almost 50$ for 5 feet of wire and 6 wire caps (real cost $4!!) Charged me 289$ for 90 minutes of work. Go to another company - maybe from Saint-Laurent, Quebec. I contacted another supplier to find out real prices and at least on the phone they were $200 cheaper for the same thermostat.

Chris is a very polite and really took care of us.
Happy with his service. Very quick to respond to the service call. Thanks for your professionalism and paying attention to detail.

Any company that can send somebody over on a holiday weekend for a home cooling emergency earns a 5-star in my books. The service manager at JCD said he couldn't promise they could get it going (the air conditioner is 24 years old) but they would definitely try. 3 hours from the time I called, there is cold air coming out of our vents :)

They were recommended by a friend and they provided Amazing installation and speed of service. These guys really know what they are doing!!

They even clean up after themselves.
