Look out! Called Robs Albertan today to have a tech come look at my furnace which was not heating. Not my first choice as I have had work done in the past and since been pestered by their call centre and junk mail, but no one else was available. Tech came, was in furnace room for at least 45 minutes, comes out to tell me the flame sensor has failed, which in turn has damaged the gas valve and will likely have damaged the control panel as well, though that wouldn't show up for a few months. Cost? About $800 to fix the two parts that were "broken" today and if the control panel goes in a few months and supposedly this is likely, that'll be another $900. So the tech says, since you're halfway to the cost of a new furnace, why don't you talk to a comfort advisor about replacing your furnace? Yikes! I talked to some friends who thankfully have more knowledge about furnaces than I and each one said that sounds like bs, take the flame sensor out and clean it and see if that fixes your problem. So what do you know, husband removes flame sensor, it's clean as a whistle, reinstalls it, start furnace and it's working great! Huh. Yep, I do feel like I narrowly missed being tricked out of at least $800 or as much as the cost of a new furnace.

The people installing were true professionals as well. After work was completed, everything was cleaned up nice. Ted was excellent walking us through the steps and follow up. I highly recommend this company.

Very pleased with Ally, our sales consultant. Polite, informative, and not pushy while showing us our options. Our installer Jason, and helper (didn't get his name ) were friendly, very hard workers, and didn't make a mess. Did a great job, making it a little easier parting with our hard earned money. Sent them home with homemade brownies, as they worked all day non-stop. Ally returned a few oweeks later to check up, just as he said he would. So far, we are extremely happy with end result, and so we will get them to do the yearly check-up.

Dave surveyed the home and explained everything which is best. Furnace installed as promised and the service is great, the Technicians were punctual to come on time, spread floor coverings to protect the floor, both did a great job and made a thorough clean-up after. After a couple of weeks the salesperson came back to re-assess the work and handed the copy of the permit application for the city inspector to inspect.

Ted, our sales rep, was thorough and provided us with several options with no pressure. The install went well with just a few snags but in the end it all got fixed. The furnace works beautifully. We would recommend them for your furnace needs.

Installation of a Navien water heating system was rushed as the team showed up late and had to leave early. There was a gas leak from one of the new gas fittings and when we called in the evening to complain of the gas smell it was not dealt with immediately as it should have been.Two days later. We were sold this item without proper assessment of our system which has low-flow faucets. Two weeks later, still waiting for resolving the problem.

I contracted Robs Albertan to replace and upgrade my entire home mechanical system - First to remove existing furnace and install a new furnace and add an AC unit. Then to replace water system to a demand water system with a water softener. And lastly to add a garage unit heater. There were many issues that the installers needed to address and they did their work in a most professional manner. Our sales person Ally was great in his information and help in all the upgrades we were undertaking. Even once the work was completed we did have a minor issue which their techs fixed in very short order. I would recommend Robs to anyone looking to have home mechanical work done!

Dealing with everyone at Rob's Albertan was a wonderful experience! The sales consultant Ally was so thorough with his explanation of the different levels of furnace and air conditioning options he made it very easy to choose, with no pressure. They were able to send a crew in a matter of days to replace our 30 year old furnace which was on its last leg... The crew led by Jason was tremendous, this man is such a hard worker! The new furnace was in and warming up my house within hours. Jason is punctual, and very courteous. They did a clean up job in the area like no other company I have dealt with before. I am completely satisfied with Rob's Albertan I will recommend them to others. Thank you Ally and Jason.

Our salesman Ted was very knowledgeable and knows the ins and outs of furnace installation. The city permit was handled by the company which made it convenient. Jason and his helper (installers) were on time and very tidy. They showed me how to change the filter and operate the new thermostat. Ted came back after the city inspectors passed the job to make sure that I was satisfied with the service and to see if I had any concerns. Good company to deal with.

Dave Bruinsma was very knowlegable and easy to talk to. The installation of the new furnace and hot water heater was flawless thanks to Jason and Devon. It is great to see there are still people who are proud of their work!
