We had Carleton Refrigeration replace our 35 year old wood forced air furnace and 23 year old AC unit with a high efficiency propane furnace and heat pump. Corey was extremely helpful as we worked our way through trying to find the best solution for our needs. The installation was carried out in an efficient and professional manner. The installation crew was friendly and took care to keep the house clean. We are very satisfied with the end product. We highly recommend this company.

After installation a full inspection was done with a step by step explanation of the work completed, use of equipment and answering all question related to my home heating system. We received good service from Carleton Refrigeration. The staff were courteous and explained about the equipment thoroughly. I should have asked more questions about how to set up the thermostat, but the questions I did ask were addressed. The serviceman even set the thermostat in Farenheit when he saw me attempting to convert the celsius scale.

Hi, We live in a 60 year old home, which we renovated from top to bottom. Near the end of the renovation, we had to tackle the heating and air conditioning. We wanted a new high-efficiency furnace, and due to the work upstairs, many of the ducts had been dead-ended, or re-routed. Carleton Refrigeration gave us a lump-sum quote for a complete replacement of the furnace and AC, as well as a solution to the ducting woes in the basement and elsewhere. They visited our house at least twice before the work was started, and were extremely efficient on the days of the work. They did an incredible job, and they ended up replacing all the ducts in the basement, as well as cleverly updating the routing of the warm air and the cold air return. Along with some foam insulation in the floor joists, they were also able to solve a long-standing cold basement problem. Finally, they returned for a final time to balance the heat between the three floor, installing baffles on all ducts and diffusers in the basement.

I heard a commercial on jack fm about a newer product. A propane wood combo furnace. A service person (Corey) came out to our house within a couple of days to give us a quote. We were not only impressed with the product,but also with the service we received and continue to receive. I can't say enough good things about our experience with this company! Recently, we were without heat just after midnight and we called the Ottawa company who had installed our Bryant furnace in 2002, and had always been called for the service/repair of it. On-line they advertise 24/7 service and that if you are without heat they will dispatch a technician immediately. Well after much debate/dispute we were advised that a tech could only come out at 8 a.m. (sounds like no emergency service to us). The tech diagnosed a corroded heat exchanger, which at first was not going to be covered under warranty with Carrier and then it was, and then in the end it would not be, and our option was to either pay $3000 to have it replaced or buy a new furnace starting at $3500. Wow!,...for us that would be three (3) furnaces installed by this company in this home since 1994!!! Disappointed with this company and now having lost complete hope and all trust with them, we called Roger at Carleton Refrigeration Heating and Air Conditioning and explained our predicament. Right away he offered to call his contact at Carrier to see what could be done. Within a couple of hours, we were advised that it would be covered under warranty and replaced by Carleton Refrigeration for the cost of labour only. They had us up and running within 48 hours and all for under $900...a far cry from the $3000 our own company quoted us. Our sincere thanks go to Carleton Refrigeration for their assistance with the warranty coverage and for their excellent service and their honesty shown to us in our emergency. Needless to say, in future, we will only be calling them for all or our furnace needs and we highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for honest efficient professional service.
