I'm totally impressed. What was written in the contract was perfectly translated in the work that these guys did. I replaced the old laminate floor in the living room and the old vinyl in the kitchen area with hardwood floor and the result is much better than expected. Especially, a close attention was put on removing the old plywood underneath the kitchen cabinets without moving these (a quite tedious job). I couldn't find any flaw and at final, the place was left tidy. Also, the price quoted didn't break the bank and the materials provided by Vic (he's the owner of the company) are very high quality. And the whole project was done as planned without any delay.
I warmly recommend to using this company if you wish to have a great job done

I would not recommend this company in that the aggravation caused by the delays and poor workmanship is not worth the reduced cost. Vic promptly came out to provide a quote which was a few hundred dollars lower than the competition. He was pleasant and assured me that the work would be done properly and that they used Canadian product. The Armstrong box says "Made In America".
On the day of installation the workers did not arrive as they were supposedly involved in a traffic accident. The following day they arrived more than an hour later than I had specified as no one told them what time to arrive.
The installers rushed to finish in one day. They were messy leaving tools and wood scattered throughout the room. Also dropping tools on the flooring. I had asked that they nail the subfloor, but it wasn't done.
In the light of day I could see that it was inferior workmanship. There were at least 5 split boards and more than 30 nicks in the hardwood. The installers should have seen this and repaired it, but as they were in a hurry to leave they did not bother.
I called Vic who came out and agreed that it needed to be repaired. A week later someone came out and repaired the split boards and his partner filled in the nicks. From a distance it looks fine but close up you can see the putty used to fill in the marks.
Vic did not bother to call to see if I was satisfied with the final repair, he immediately debited my credit card even though I had asked him if I could pay the balance by cheque to which he agreed. But then reneged and said they didn't accept cheques. He also said he did not come out for final inspection because the person that did the repairs was also his sight manager, which was not true as I spoken to the fellow. Vic also promised to provide me with more putty, but none was forthcoming.
In summary the work was adequate but not worth the aggravation even with a $100 discount.

We were very happy with the finished product although they were a few days late in completing the job. We had our hardwood floors refinished and hardwood stairs installed. We are not so happy with the customer service after the work when we had unresolved issues regarding the floors and no quick response.

Needed new carpet in whole apartment. They arrived and we're able to complete the job despite some minor set back.

Floor Coverings International worked tirelessly with us on everything from colour, to feel, to budget. They allowed us ample time to make and informed and satisfying decision through a combination of in-home and in-showroom consultation. When the carpet was installed, their instalers were efficient, friendly, and polite, and they even worked around our young children being at home. Overall, an amazing service. We love the silvery carpet and modern metal transitions with no visible screws! The owner of FCI even came by personally after the installation to ensure our satisfaction and answer our questions. Vic came to the house with carpet samples and recommended a replacement carpet which was a very good choice. The color and texture are very attractive. The installers arrived as scheduled and the installation was well done. Vic followed up later to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. My husband and I are very satisfied with our new carpet and will use the company again for future floor jobs.

Vic came and provided a quote for the installation of carpet. He showed us numerous samples and helped us to make the choice. The turnaround time had to be very short due to the real estate listing of our home and Vic made this happen. The two guys that installed the carpet were very friendly and professional. They took pride in their work. We also were able to get the underpaid upgraded. We are very pleased with the outcome of the work and would recommend this company.

These two projects were completed on time, with professional quality workmanship, and good value. Vic was a pleasure to deal with and ensured our project was done quickly as per our request. Martik did great work, always cleaned up at the end of the day and offered to do an extra repair for us without charge.
