We hired floor coverings international to complete a quick and cost effective carpet installation in our office. Upon meeting with James, the owner, he gave us some great options which were lower in price than previous quotes and much more in line with our business needs.We had three other quotes!!!

His service was great as he delivered various products to our office in order to make an extremely informed decision.

Unlike other floor covering companies we spoke with, they came to the showroom with multiple samples. Very curtious installers and a project manager came and inspected the job after completion.
We are planning a larger renovation next year and will definitely be using his business and services to complete the new flooring. We would highly recommend!!
We will also be using this company for our hardwood flooring in our home within the next month as well....

We had a challenging project and FCI managed the flooring exceptionally. We had 3 bedrooms to reflo, the landing and the staircase leading to the main floor; which meant three different types of flooring : wood, cork and carpet, including all baseboards. The service to select the materials was managed well by Jim Matthewson, the owner. We met in January 2008. The work was scheduled for June 2008 (our choice). Brett the project manager for the materials and human resources communicated quite effectively. All was managed professionally and on time. The quality of the workmanship is beyond expectations; especially since there were some "hard" spots : transition from master bedroom to ensuite (where bathroom contractor had laid the tile) as well as the transition from landing to top stair. We love the flooring colour choices and are thrilled with the results. Highly recommend them.
The only recommendation is for the workers to bring plastic to cover furniture while they work. Fortunately, we had some.

We had Floor Coverings International quote on replacing carpet in all of our bedrooms with cork flooring as well as provide carpet for a walk-in closet and two stair runners. Jim (the owner) provided excellent service from the time he delivered samples/estimates, through the installation, right up to his follow-up service calls. We had a minor issue with a gap under the baseboard but the crew supervisor returned within a week to correct the problem (to our satisfaction). We found that FCI provided good value, the job was completed in a timely manner, the installation crew were neat and cleaned up the site each day. I would not hesitate to recommend FCI or to use their services again in our home.

Our experience with Floor Coverings International (FCI) was nothing short of extraordinary. We were replacing the carpeted flooring in two bedrooms with bamboo flooring. James, the owner of FCI came to our home and gave us a very reasonable estimate as to how much the project would cost. In fact, we had received estimates from 3 other flooring companies and FCI's price was the most reasonable.

What is more, we requested that the job to be completed one week following our initial meeting for the estimate. James informed us that his installers required two full days to lay down the floors.

We have allergy issues in the family, and thus were concerned with dust. We were assured that it would be kept to a minimum.

The end result was fabulous! The job was completed in the exact time frame that we had agreed upon. The dust content was minimal, and the installers thoroughly cleaned up after themselves. Also, the cost of the project was true to the original estimate. We were extremely pleased with the service we received and we would not hesitate to recommend FCI to family and friends.

I gave the owner of this company 50% deposit to lay tiles and laminate in my home. I pointed out two dips in my floor when he came to take measurements and give me a quote. He said that was not a problem as they would put down a self levelling compound. When the installer came I pointed out the 'dips' to him and he said it was a high point and would sand it down. I was told it would take one week to complete the job. When the installer came he worked for two days and then took three days off. One month later they walked off the job and would not fix the problem. The tile installation was very poor~ tiles are not level with each other (lippage). When you walk on the tiles with shoes on, you can feel the uneveness. You cannot vacuun the floor because you bump into the tiles. Grout lines are 'extremely' uneven as well. I have had other contractors look at the floor and they all say it was a very poor installation. The only way to fix this is to take it all up. I had 13x13 tiles laid on top of ditra. The franchise headquarters in Georgia agree that it was a bad job after looking at pictures I sent them but said there was nothing they could do because it is independently owned. I registered a complaint against him with the BBB and the comsumer protection agency. This was the only company that I have ever hired that delivered what they promised. In home design consultation was so helpful and they provided me with a great experience! I would definately recommend to anyone!
