My first time Dealing with Gord's, I have a 3yr old Whirlpool fridge that started to freeze instead of refrigerating. I'm trying to support a small business and keep another large appliance out of the landfill.
I contacted them for service around the 1st of Sept. soonest someone could come and check it Sept 9, that's fine. Tec shows up and says he knows the problem, will call with a price for repair the next day. (never hear from him again).
Now the first week of Oct I get a call from the parts dept, the part is in, I book the earliest appointment I can get, Oct 12th, he shows up and installs the part.
The tec. hands me a bill and informs me the part has a 90-day guaranty and 30 days on labor.
The next morning I open the fridge everything is frozen. I call Gord's and ask what can be done, partial refund, repair? They will get back to me shortly, this is Wed Oct13 at 9:15 no return call.
10 am Mon Oct.18, I again call, she had spoken with the GM the only solution was offered to me was half the service call $45 or buy a new fridge.
The management there needs an upgrade.
