Best service ever! Quick response, polite, knowledgeable and made me feel comfortable during every step of the restoration/basement clean up. Very impressed! I will definitely send friend and family to belfor!

Be careful if your insurance company recommends this Restoration company- they need supervision. Don't make any decisions based on a verbal quote - wait until you have it in writing. Verbal quote was $1500, Written quote was $3400 and final invoice was $4500. $1000 cost overrun was caused by double air quality testing. Testing failed the first time because staff didn't plug in the equipment. All but $55 of the cost overrun was passed on to me by the company. Double check measurements used in quotes - I found numerous errors. Make sure to look at the clean up quote given to your insurance company when reviewing final quote to fix the problem after clean up has been done. Lots of items missing on the restoration quote.

DO NOT EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY! I am firing them today for gross negligence and incompetence. They have accomplished in 3 months what should have been done in one week. Nothing they say will happen has happened, the quality of their work is sub par and they dont communicate

The worst job ever!!!! after 17 weeks they were FIRED ,project manager has no clue what he is doing, he was in over his head there staff, well they had to come back re-fix things 2-3 times on almost all jobs, very sad, see CTV story, and also local papers,YouTube coming soon, please beware, comment if you want more info

Terrible! They took almost 2 1/2 months to repair the damage from an ice dam. They came out, ripped out a huge part of the ceiling. I had to cover it up with plastic. They then left it like that for over a month. In the meantime my gas bill was growing and growing from the subzero temperatures. They didn't care. When they did come out to work on it, they left over 20 nails in my driveway, they didn't put the blinds back up like they said they would and now I'm still waiting for the carpet cleaner to come out. Guess what? they aren't getting in when I'm not there. I took my key out of the door lock.

DO NOT ENGAGE THIS COMPANY!!!! My experiences match many of the other posts. I fired them after 5 months of deception and inactivity. Their delays caused extensive damage to my home and caused me to contract black mould disease. Promises abound, but performance was absent. I can't believe that my insurance company recommended them.

I had to point out all the problems. The project manager never answers my calls. My insurance company made us go with them so i had little choice, but in the future i will not work with them.

Similar to previous stories. Insurance recemmended Belor for basement flooding. Quick to demolish ,3 months to finish. One person would come and do a bit of the dry wall then take off I kept having to point out areas missed. The job still isn't done there is no caulking on the sink, this will likely take another month. Workers threw cigarette buts in yard and left a large exacto blade at the top of our stairs (we have kids and dogs!). Our compalints were met with eye rolls and this company was working for our insurance not us.

We had a bathroom reno done after some flooding. We were not impressed with Belfor Restorations. They came quite quickly to demo and dry out the flooded area, but it took 4 months for them to complete the restorations. We were without a bathroom from Aug, to mid Nov. It was a simple job, replace floor tiles, ceiling, shower stall and repair and paint dry wall. WE had all the tiles etc purchased and they just had to install. Quality of work was substandard, and we are glad we were at home when the renos were being done as we had to get the workers to fix several things. WE would not recommend using Belfor to anyone.

DO NOT USE this company!!!!! It took 6 months to complete a simple job! Workers didn't show up when they were supposed to and it was done in bits and pieces! Big company so there was no customer service for my little job that needed to be finished. This company was recommended to me by my insurance company but I really wish I would have found a contractor on my own! If your insurance company recommends BELFOR them them you will find your own contractor just be sure to do your reseach first!
