Donaldson Plumbing & Heating

To make a long-story short, bought a house with a hydronic system that was installed by Donaldson so naturally, we used them for yearly cleanings and to fix any repairs. The first few times Dave was great to deal with but then they started to send their son and that's when all the problems started. Literally every time he did work, there would be issues after he left. Leaking fittings, incorrect circulating pump installed, gas leaks, relay failure, etc.

Recently, we called for service and while trying to set up an appointment Dave starts yelling at me. Says they don't like to come because they always have to come back a second time and that we don't listen to their son. First off, if you did it right the first time, I wouldn't have to call you back to fix your mistakes. Secondly, there more mistakes someone makes, of course I am going to question their ability! Dave went on to say that his son is the biggest "expert" in all of Ontario! What a joke!

The new service company told me this guy has a reputation of being a hot head and not to worry about it. I had to bring them in to fix the undersized circulating pump as well as some other issues that Donaldson created. Full system health check and no leaks detected! They gave me some great advice that I'll pass on to others: don't hire a plumber to do work on your heating system.

Very professional, efficient and polite. Fair pricing and quality work. This was my best experience with plumbers in Kingston and would recommend them to anyone. They helped install my new kitchen faucet and made it look easy!

A valid story! Will make an independent home owner wait an insane amount of time for an emergency service, treat you like an fool and charge twice the quoted amount!!!

I hired this firm to do some work, and they are awful. Blair and his father are bullies! They wanted me to settle up before they even did the work that they promised. I would never even want them in my home.
