Parts Stove Element Switch

Parts ordered from their website because it was IN STOCK, waiting after 2 weeks, haven't received the part, I have place a call to the call center, they don't have the part in stock, they have place the order to the manufacturer, have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks. They refused to refund and cancel the order.... I WAS a new buyer and I am Really Really disappointed, won't do business with them again

Incorrect product shipped, complex & costly return process

they should own their mistakes - if your flyer advertises a product and clicking on that products generates an order and the incorrect product is shipped. Own it!! 25% restocking fee for your error does not make sense. Nor does me covering shipping. Again - own your mistakes!!

Long delays.

I ordered an adjustable snap disc that was showing stock in the system because I needed this in 1 - 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, I called and the rep said it was on back-order, yet the DC showed stock. Transfers from the DC should be automatic. I purposefully ordered a part that showed stock in the system. At 3 weeks there was still no part. I did finally get the part. But it took a phone call to fix this. Your ordering system is broken.

If your projects are time sensitive, beware.

Unethical On-line business practices

So, my fridge was having trouble. The Amre website declares the part I needed is 'in stock' - great! Oh, they meant in their stores that are in a different province. Okay, I'll order it, website says shipping from their stores is 5-7 days, bit long to be without a fridge but I can manage. Okay, paid, and done. I confirm with their assistant chat function that shipping is 5-7 days. Hmm, the receipt I received has the word 'backorder' on it ... Surely that must be wrong? 7 business days go by. I call to see if there is any update. "Ah, well the part is on backorder and will be 4-6 weeks!".

Are you kidding me? Mislead me to think it'll be here soon (I looked again, it's still very clear about it's claims), to get my money? Amre is a great store in person, but I will never, never use their online site again, and I will begin checking with their competitors before visiting in store as well. Not only unethical but silly as well - did they think I wouldn't notice when my part was 4 weeks late?

Shameful.

Furnace Humidifier parts

I had ordered a solenoid and a filter for my humidifier in November of 2020 and received the solenoid within a couple of days! Unfortunately the filter was a special order and had to be ordered in. In February I was advised that it should be received by the end of February. When it wasn't received in February I contacted the customer care center who advised that it was again on delay until the end of March. This was not good news. As I did have a technical question as well, I was transferred to the desk at the Edmonton location where I had the pleasure of talking with Briley. Not only did he expertly answer my questions but looked up my delayed part and had it shipped out the next day! No more waiting! Briley was polite, knowledgeable and beyond helpful. Thank you Briley!

Waiting for a month and a half for part. Any updates?

Ordered a part on Sept. 13th on the amresupply.com site. Still waiting. Got a message that is what backordered then noticed that the part was available at locations other than the pickup locations. Don't see any updates yet.

Residential Ventilation and Radon Mitigation - Basement Ventilation Fan

With the advice of staff at Amre Supply (to help me choose the correct product), I purchased and installed a "Panasonic WhisperCeiling DC Exhaust Fan, 50/80/110 CFM" in the rumpus room of my basement. The fan cost about $220 plus sundry supplies and my time. My goal was to ensure that I have at least 3 whole-house air exchanges every 24 hours to reduce indoor air pollution, which includes radon. The fan runs continuously, however, it has 3 dials that permit a variety of settings and it is switched at the wall to provide a temporary boost in fan speed. I am delighted by this product. Surprisingly, the air is exchanged without the house feeling drafty (it definitely smells better in spite of the dog), the temperature of the house stays more even (I have a variable speed furnace that I run continuously), humidity has dropped to below 35% and when the temperature dropped to minus 25 degrees celsius for a few days, by increasing the fan speed marginally, I kept the ice off the windows (first time in 15 years), and the radon levels have dropped to just above 200 becquerels (200 bq is the limit suggested by Health Canada). Fortunately, the fan is very quiet and we don't notice it operating while we watch tv or read in the basement. This has been a very inexpensive solution to solve my radon problem (which was originally tested at just under 900 Bq) & my humidity problem simultaneously.

Ridiculous Return Policy

Ordered 2 water inlets, 1 arrived clearly used and when I hooked the hose on I quickly realized it was the wrong inlets so I returned them.

I was charged $13 to return them and then get an email saying they wouldn't accept my return because the item was used (by attaching a hose) and installed (it was not installed).

Would never use again or recommend to anyone.

Very poor customer service as they jumped to conclusions without calling or asking questions. Customer Service turned Keyboard Warrior.

After difficulties in getting the part from Whirlpool, AMRE promptly provided it and the order arrived the second day. No issues with the part itself; the appliance worked well after the installation.
