Terrible experience

Not a good experience overall!!!!!! I felt the owner of the company tried to squeeze more money out of me because my furnace had broken down. I heard the owner become aggressive on a phone conversation which was on loudspeaker with the technician. They promised me a free thermostat for the awkward ordeal. They never brought it on the day of installation. Then they continuously pestered me about payment even though they gave me the wrong email address to etransfer the money to. I was collecting kids from school and feeding them dinner and the company was repeatedly harassing my phone(even though it was their fault for not giving me the correct email address to transfer to). Eventually sent them the money which autodeposited at 721pm. Never brought me the thermostat the next day(claim they did but I received zero calls or emails, even though they rang and emailed non stop the day before looking for money).I guess they got their money and didn’t care for the customer. Overall, not a smooth or an enjoyable experience. Zero customer care. Don’t recommend.

It's unfortunate that you felt this way about our organization. The technician that came by quoted you for a Furnace that we did not have in stock and hence the price change. As Advised to you over the phone we only had one in stock and the one available was a Bosch, which is a better brand as well. You stressed that you wanted the install the very next day, taking away the opportunity from us to order the same one that you were quoted earlier. We also understood that you were uncomfortable with the price change, even though the price was accurate, we took the loss upon ourselves and offered you the free thermostat.
I do agree that the technician forgot the thermostat and that is on us. In terms of payment, as per the contract payment is due upon installation, once the install was completed you took the email address from the technician and said you were sending the money immediately, we did not receive it for 3 hours. We were only calling to make sure you had the correct email address. Our calls were never answered and it took a technician until 10 pm to get the funds sent to us. If you responded to any of our calls we could have informed you that the email address you had was wrong.

In terms of the thermostat, my technician was at your home at 10:10am as promised, he did also see the grey jeep parked there and your dog was barking, but no one was at home. He stood by and called for about 20 minutes before giving up and leaving. We also sent you an email letting you know a technician will be there between 10 am - 12 pm( No response to that as well). We're more than happy to give you the thermostat, as we honour our word and contract.

not the best experience

Overall, not a great experience with these guys. My furnace broke down, I called these guys. A maintenance guy calls out the next day. He looked at the furnace for a bit and said it needed to get replaced. I ask him to give me his best price for a new furnace (all in) etc.. He gives me a quote. Then he rings his boss and the boss starts saying that they only have one furnace left in that model (surprise surprise) and that it costs more than what I was offered. Seemed something dodgy going on where they try to squeeze extra money out of a distressed customer (no heat in the middle of winter with kids). I knew exactly what these guys were up to and called them on it. I could hear the boss getting somewhat aggressive on the phone. (super professional!) The maintenance guy ended up apologizing and even showed me his invoice form where they had quoted some other guy the exact same as what they were quoting me. Seemed unethical and the boss was trying to line his pockets with a vulnerable client (well done, it cost you a bad review!). Anyhoo, they promised me a free thermostat for the whole awkward ordeal.

They call out the next day, installed the furnace. Forget the thermostat!! Then they have a payment policy where you have to pay 3.49% on credit card transactions which is over $100 if you pay over 3k. I've never experienced a business trying to charge an extra hundred dollars because you have to use credit card. Isn't it 2020? Ridiculous! Sooooo, I have to do eTransfer. The technician who installs the furnace gives me the wrong email address to eTransfer the money to. Then he repeatedly texts me all afternoon about the payments not going through (he gave me the wrong email address). Finally get the payment sorted and the technician guy is thankful and promises to come the next day with the thermostat that he had forgotten. The next day, he never calls!!! (I guess they got their money and don't care anymore). These guys are a joke! Ill give them 2 stars because they did put in a furnace (which they are supposed to do). Everything else was painful and unprofessional. I wouldn't have bothered even write a review only for them not bothering with bringing the thermostat. It was just the last straw of being an annoying experience. Anyhow, I told them to keep the thermostat. Good luck treating people like that!

re: "the one available was a Bosch" Thats the one that was offered to me by the maintenance guy,
and the price and model was the EXACT same as what he had offered to someone earlier that day.
He showed me the invoice of the earlier customer to prove that. So, you are twisting the truth on that.

Secondly...
re: "it took the technician until 10pm to get the funds to us."
I am attahcing the bank statement of when the funds got AUTO-DEPOSITED to your account.
As I said, it didnt go the first time because the technician gave me the wrong email address.
He told me .com instead of .ca. The attachemnt is proof of you not being truthful yet again.

Thirdly...
The guy calling the next day with the thermostat. I received ZERO calls on my phone from anyone
that day, so no one rang me.

Dropping the review to a one for dishonesty. If this is the type of people you want to deal with,
then go right ahead.
