GVS Central Vac worked fine for 1 yr +7 months, then stopped after vacuuming one room - when I called, he whined, 'You spoiled my day' three times, so, back to shop-Serv chg $199, with $99 to return vac to me. I refused to pay the Return charge as I thought it exorbitant, but paid the Serv chg. Problem: Circuit Board. Second attempt: vacuumed the same room and it stopped - Reset button popped out. Third attempt: vacuumed the same room: loss of suction. Was given 2 choices: Try vacuuming once more and if it stops, I get new motor and new circuit board OR they will sell me a more powerful GVS for $499. I felt that three times was enough of a sample of this vac as I am elderly and preparing a house for vacuuming is a lot of work and when, on my first call, I mentioned this, having to lift the chairs onto the table, rugs taken up and shaken, everything off the floor to prepare for vacuuming, he shouted, "I-DON'T-CARE-ABOUT-YOUR-CHAIRS!" and other unpleasant remarks, ("It's all on tape! It's all on tape!" before hanging up on me. I hope it is, as that will verify what I've said.), over the three breakdowns. When I wouldn't opt for either of his two choices, he said, "You know what, MA'AM? Don't call here again!" His last word.
I have a useless vac which is hardly broken in and likely will be junked. If I'd had it repaired AGAIN, how long before it broke down again and I've had enough of his hysterics.
I want people to be aware of this company and its satellite stores in other towns. If they choose to do business with them, well, they have been forewarned.
