Installation of new toilet

We recently had to replace our basement bathroom toilet and hired Westrim to do the job. Owing to a complication with the subfloor, they were able to rectify the situation to fit the toilet in. The job was done efficiently and in a timely manner, within a reasonable cost. They even removed the old toilet for us. we would not hesitate to contact them again.

Bathroom Renos

Westrim was referred to me by my strata manager, and their price was competitive with the other plumbers I contacted. Appreciated the free home visit. Things started off really well, these guys are great commercial/industrial plumbers. Finished a complete re-pipe of both bathrooms and the water heater in one day. Unfortunately, the they really struggled with the tub installation. It became evident after a few botched installation attempts that the journeyman plumber they sent was not experienced with tub installation. That should have taken one day, but instead took 5. However, Dan is a good businessman and did what it took to sort everything out.

Long story short, despite taking 4 times longer than they quoted and spending far more hours, the final invoice was exactly what they quoted, and my wife is happy with the results.

Hot water tank

Westrim was referred to us by a friend when our hot water tank stopped working. They weren't able to accomodate same day sevice to just even check out what was wrong. Their service wasn't as friendly as I was expecting, but they were quite fast with the installation of the tank. Only took them a few hours

Boiler Maintenance

The boiler of our radiant heating system decided to go and we woke up this morning to a very cold house in February. I called Westrim at 7:50 (they open at 8am) and Mario picked up the phone. He was very nice and knowing that we didn't have a flame on our boiler, did not then charge me a "priority" price on getting someone out ASAP. It was a very reasonable hourly charge out rate, and he could get someone there by noon.

By 11:30am, Scott called and told us he was on the way. Scott was very detailed and showed interest in discussing the situation and took the time to show us around our furnace room (we are relatively new owners of the house). He gave us a thorough inspection of the furnace, fixed the problem, and helped service our boiler and even quickly looked at the condition of our water tank.

Scott discussed the alternatives for us come time we decide to replace our tanks and told us what they would need to do to retrofit the new systems. It was a very informative visit. He was not pushy at all and at no time made us feel like our current system was inadequate.

For a reasonable amount, quick turnaround, and a courteous bounch, I would highly recommend these guys for anyone who might need a quick fix, or to have a new unit installed. All in all a very professional experience from start to finish.

Interesting note that another outfit I called charged $50 more an hour for a "priority" call because I had indicated we had no flame on our boiler.
