Unauthorized charges to my credit card
I measured up and ordered mouldings through WestCoast for doing the window trim on the 2nd floor of my house to match the main floor at their Langley location. Delivery was requested but missed on the original invoice so WestCoast asked me to sign and authorize a note to pay for shipping. No problem I thought and I provided the authorization.
WestCoast’s driver delivered the mouldings. I was advised the order, which was very hard to read, was in full. A couple of days later WestCoast sends me an email. They said they shipped an extra length of baseboard and window moulding as per my request. I never requested any additional.
Next they said they were going to charge me for the extra lengths ($85.66). I told them I did not not ask for them and they could pick them up.
I was next informed via email that my contractor had said all my lengths had been cut so they were nonreturnable. My contractor had not started the work, and never spoken with WestCoast so everything was sitting exactly as delivered.
I advised WestCoast they had confused another customer’s order with mine and they could pick up the extra lengths after access to the mouldings was available and I could verify there were extra.
I checked my bank account this morning and found they had charged me for the extra lengths that I did not order and had informed then to pick up. Multiple screwups by WestCoast and they go ahead and charge me after I did not authorize the charge. I have phoned multiple times and the sales rep is always unavailable and has not returned my call.
Completely unprofessional in every way!
