Terrible windows and service

Ordered Pollard windows for a full home reno, 38 sets of windows. Had them installed by Pollard windows rep. Less than a decade later pretty much every south facing window has had the seal compromised. I called Pollard for solutions on what I thought would be a warranty claim. Complete run around with zero help. Should have pursued a small claims action but let the statute of limitations pass as I was being massaged by Pollard. When dealing with the presidents office they actually said that 10 years was "about the lifespan for windows in Canada". I almost fell of my chair. These windows are garbage if you have south facing elevations. How these TV personalities can be associated with these terrible products from Pollard is beyond me. I'd seriously question their scruples.

Great Service!

Our custom home was built in 2007, and included Pollard Windows (lots of them). Over the years we've had a few "seal failures" on some windows (where moisture gets in between the glass panes), but Pollard has been very responsive and replaced the problem window inserts. We also had two new sets of (hinged) double patio doors installed recently. Their service team is awesome. Now the house looks amazing! Thanks to Gary and his team at Pollard Windows.

Window and door instal on new build

Windows & doors were installed 3yrs ago. Weve lived in the home for 2yrs and have yet to have initial work completed and/or corrected. Doors do not close properly, windows are extremely stiff, screens continuously fall out. Weve had service come out 4-5 times so far, and they always seem to have to come back to finish bc we dont have the parts.
Weve reached out to head office several occasions & yet our concern(s) are always dismissed. For a company so large and with high profile brand(media) reps, you would think their work & craftsmanship would be much MUCH better. We still cant believe the issues were having and the company weve used is the cause.

Window failed, needed new hardware

I had Pollard install windows in my home as it was being built. The installers did a REAL poor job. The master bedroom has what is called a "moon window". The installation was shody, allowing breeze to come through the frame. They had to come back and fix it. It was STILL not fixed and they just drove away. I ended up doing it myself.
A week ago the window hardware failed. I opened the window ( double hung) and the window dropped on it's own narrowly missing my hand. The hardware had failed. I went to Pollard, inquiring about new hardware, and showed them a photo of the failed piece. The gentleman ( I use that term lightly) snapped at me "That is old hardware. We don't use it anymore!!" I asked about new hardware. He said nothing. I waied a moment. He then snapped "I told you we don't use that anymore!" then looked away. I held my temper and walked out of the business.
I will NEVER go back. Poor workmanship, poor customer service, poor attitude. They do NOT honor guarantees.

LONG delivery times, No answers

Ordered a window over 4.5 months ago... and STILL can't get an answer on when it will be ready. Understand covid supply chain problems, but this is rediculous. Even had a confirmed delivery date, at which time my contractor pulled out the old window.... now I have a BIG hole in the wall, no window, and work is at a stop.

Update: Finally recieved the window (6 months +-). Pollard really needs to pick up their communication game. Product quality is great... as expected.

Sliding Doors

Almost six months since ordering and still waiting for our patio door. Contractor now needs to close the ten foot opening to be able to move in. Should have been informed much earlier of their serious supply chain issue.

First and Last time

Unfortunately, I never read any reviews before buying windows for my new home. The company got their Money almost a year ago and I am still calling them because my main door to the house was missing the window, it was on backorder for months and when it came, it was the wromg one 3 times!!!! Then once that was fixed, one of the windows broke as their installers was fixing the lock. I have been contacting them daily to get the window fixed by phone and online and I still can’t get anyone to call me back. I paid for the windows with my card and they refused to speak to me, they wanted to only speak to the builder who is done by the way. I think getting a deal should not have been the main concern but rather the quality. By far, the most difficult company to deal with since we started building the house. Window is still broken by the way!

Seal broken and seal sipping out looking like black mold

I thought pollard seal replacement was 20 years yet they want to charge me over 150 for each glass that needs replacing! Now getting quotes to replace whole window! Very disappointed! Not a happy customer!

Windows under warranty

If you are looking for quality, look elsewhere! We have Pollard Windows in our home and we cannot enjoy the view. Whats more , the room where our 6 month old baby sleeps in about 5 degrees colder than main level. There is a warranty on the windows, but apparently only the initial owner is under the warranty - since when the warranty applies to the home owner and not the product supplied by Pollard Windows! What makes me angry is that some of our neighbours had their windows/seals replaced under warranty despite being second owners (and the company was aware of that).
