Window failed, needed new hardware

I had Pollard install windows in my home as it was being built. The installers did a REAL poor job. The master bedroom has what is called a "moon window". The installation was shody, allowing breeze to come through the frame. They had to come back and fix it. It was STILL not fixed and they just drove away. I ended up doing it myself.
A week ago the window hardware failed. I opened the window ( double hung) and the window dropped on it's own narrowly missing my hand. The hardware had failed. I went to Pollard, inquiring about new hardware, and showed them a photo of the failed piece. The gentleman ( I use that term lightly) snapped at me "That is old hardware. We don't use it anymore!!" I asked about new hardware. He said nothing. I waied a moment. He then snapped "I told you we don't use that anymore!" then looked away. I held my temper and walked out of the business.
I will NEVER go back. Poor workmanship, poor customer service, poor attitude. They do NOT honor guarantees.

LONG delivery times, No answers

Ordered a window over 4.5 months ago... and STILL can't get an answer on when it will be ready. Understand covid supply chain problems, but this is rediculous. Even had a confirmed delivery date, at which time my contractor pulled out the old window.... now I have a BIG hole in the wall, no window, and work is at a stop.

Update: Finally recieved the window (6 months +-). Pollard really needs to pick up their communication game. Product quality is great... as expected.

Sliding Doors

Almost six months since ordering and still waiting for our patio door. Contractor now needs to close the ten foot opening to be able to move in. Should have been informed much earlier of their serious supply chain issue.

First and Last time

Unfortunately, I never read any reviews before buying windows for my new home. The company got their Money almost a year ago and I am still calling them because my main door to the house was missing the window, it was on backorder for months and when it came, it was the wromg one 3 times!!!! Then once that was fixed, one of the windows broke as their installers was fixing the lock. I have been contacting them daily to get the window fixed by phone and online and I still can’t get anyone to call me back. I paid for the windows with my card and they refused to speak to me, they wanted to only speak to the builder who is done by the way. I think getting a deal should not have been the main concern but rather the quality. By far, the most difficult company to deal with since we started building the house. Window is still broken by the way!

Seal broken and seal sipping out looking like black mold

I thought pollard seal replacement was 20 years yet they want to charge me over 150 for each glass that needs replacing! Now getting quotes to replace whole window! Very disappointed! Not a happy customer!

Windows under warranty

If you are looking for quality, look elsewhere! We have Pollard Windows in our home and we cannot enjoy the view. Whats more , the room where our 6 month old baby sleeps in about 5 degrees colder than main level. There is a warranty on the windows, but apparently only the initial owner is under the warranty - since when the warranty applies to the home owner and not the product supplied by Pollard Windows! What makes me angry is that some of our neighbours had their windows/seals replaced under warranty despite being second owners (and the company was aware of that).

11 windows + patio door

Replaced all the rear windows and patio door in our home. Our salesperson, Moustafa, was very accommodating and thorough as we walked through numerous options as this was our first window purchase. They were patient while we did diligence validating their claims elsewhere. Moustafa took the time to validate they could properly support a casement window in the large size we wanted (stress on the frame, etc). Price was reasonable and no sales pressure.

What we did learn was the windows are only half the solution and the quality of the install can make/break your experience.

In that regard, Andrei and his crew were excellent. They took their time to get it right rather than "clock out" at the end of the day. In fact the crew missed Halloween with their families with how late the stayed.

Minor hiccup with the screens misplaced between factory and destination but they got them to us without issue.

Install looks great. Seals look good, clean and smooth. Patio door works smooth. All windows operate well *after installed* (so nothing is out-of-plumb after the install). It has rained hard post install and no sign of trouble.

Immediate impression is that we are very happy. Ultimately it will take a few years to determine if the product continues to impress. The Moustafa + Andrei combination worked very well for us.

On the product side - we chose their Advantage Plus. Vinyl, w dbl glass. Tripple was an option but also heavier and could cause concern for support in the frame in the larger sizes we were looking for.

One competitor had the lock mechanism inside the frame which was cute but nobody could answer how it would be replaced/serviced if necessary. Pollard's is in the channel and exposed but hidden by the flange unless you are sticking your head out the window to look at it. The competitors looked nice however we preferred Pollard's option as it's obvious how to service it down the road.

I think we did our homework on this project and we are very happy with the outcome.

Windows sweaks and flexes

Purchased a condo with Pollard windows brand new build. The main window in the living room moves in a breeze not a wind but a breeze and squeaks something out of a horror movie. I contacted the builder and Pollard they say its normal but I also own 2 other units with the same window and do not have this problem. Pollard says they will be in touch but never heard back.
In total the window flexes 1 1/2 in and out and this is normal ?

Replacement Glass

This is the second time that Pollard completed window replacement at my residence. The 1st project was to replace 8 windows due to seal failure of the glass. The 2nd time a year later was to replace a custom circle head window due to seal failure. Both times all interactions with Pollard were extremely professional and they delivered what they promised. Most notably were the installers that came out to the residence. They went above and beyond to provide outstanding client care. Every aspect of the interactions with no less than 5 different installers was consistent. They can only be described as outstanding service providers. Thank you to all for the professionalism!
