Front Doors

I had received 3 other quotes and decided to choose Consumer’s choice because the entire outfit was very professional from a prompt appointment being scheduled to a very knowledgeable salesman who visited me. Installation went smoothly, the installers worked quickly and efficiently while keeping their work area very clean.

Windows and sliding door

The job was average, the quality of the sliding door could have been better for the price. The installers could have done a cleaner job with the brickwork on the sliding door and the flashing over the windows could have been fitted better. They are a little pricey. There customer service was good though, I had a problem with one of the windows (a manufacturing defect) and they came to replace the window within a week.

doors and windows

We had a few new windows, a new front door and sidelight and a garden door installed. Our installer made a few more trips than what the salesman predicted, but the work is all done now and we are very happy with the results. Shaun does professional quality work and proved to be reliable,he didn't take any short cuts as he likes to do a good job and now that the work is done and we see the results we are glad we had him as our installer.

Enersave Windows

Last winter,we where looking for high performane CSA/Enegy Star certified windows and a style that would compliment our home design. I had cheap wood clad windows Fixed over Awnings with black mold around inside.
Alex came in and sold us on their T-3,Simply Clean glass Glass. He recommended Casement Windows with a single horizontal Simulate Bar we we ordered. My neighbours have complimented us on the look and we thank Consumers for the excellent job they did.

Total Window Replacement (16 Windows)

We found their sales representative, Allan, to be very friendly and knowledgeable. He really took the time to go over his product line and help us to select what was best for us and our home. We settled on a fair price for the replacement of all our home's windows, 16 in total. He worked hard for the sale and even threw in a few extras to clinch the deal.
Our windows are due to be installed within the next couple weeks. I hope that we don't experience the same scheduling problems that some of the reviews on this site complain about. I will update my review as the job progresses.

Company Response

Please find our response to the above review.

The installation is booked for mid-November. We are in contact and keeping the customers updated regarding their order.

It is a fact that our delivery schedule is “stretched” at this time of year and especially considering the overwhelming general response from customers regarding the provincial and federal government rebates, the home improvement tax credit program, and the harmonized tax slated for next year, which will increase the contract price.

For over 30 years, our organization has prided itself on not jeopardizing our quality for quantity. We could, as many of our competitors do, use subcontractors to install our products. We only use our own dedicated Window Wise certified installation crews.

Under normal circumstances, there is a manageable spike in the installation demands in the autumn, but together with the circumstances mentioned above, there has been higher than normal absenteeism of installers with flu-like symptoms. This has caused some last minute unavoidable scheduling modifications.

The company has a strict policy concerning any staff members showing flu-like symptoms being in contact with our customers, in keeping with our H1N1 flu pandemic strategy policy.

Although some minor delays resulted, we will not jeopardize our high quality standards and we are confident that upon completion of the installation, the customers will submit a complimentary review and will want to refer us to their friends and neighbours.

Yours respectfully,

R.J. (Ron) Share – General Sales Manager

New Windows

I had three windows in my home replaced by consumers choice recently. The service was incredible. The salesmen was polite and professional. The installer was punctual and very professional. Installation took much less time than I had anticipated and the end result was stunning. I love the windows and am very impressed with the company and its representatives. I would recommend them to anyone looking for home improvements.

Company Response

Please find our response to the above review.

The matter concerns a service, which falls under the manufacturer’s warrantee requirements. This service was not dealt with as quickly as the customer had wanted for the following reasons.

A factory defect was suspected. Following the manufacturer’s attendance to the customer’s premises, the defect was confirmed. It was decided that an adjustment to the door was not in the customer’s best interest nor did it satisfy the level of service we choose to offer our customers.

Instead, the manufacturer elected to remake and reinstall the customer’s complete entrance system.

Unfortunately, this custom manufacturing takes at least 4 – 6 weeks, but on this occasion, it was the right thing to do. The outcome is that the customer is now happy.

Yours sincerely,

Sab Cipro – Installation Manager
