Master Concrete & Interlocking

We had Master Concrete complete our aggregate driveway, stamped concrete walkway and porch. We are very pleased with the way the driveway and stamped concrete looks. It has improved the curb appeal of our home ten-fold. We had an issue with a few places where the stamped chipped. I called their office and it was quickly fixed! We highly recommend Master Concrete and several of our neighbours have had their driveways completed by Master Concrete. Thanks again and great job!!

We had our front steps redone the fall of 2015. Tiago was great with answering all our questions about the work and the process. We did a patterned concrete step and we are very happy with the result!

Master concrete has been in the business for 20 years, so I had no problem choosing them to do my drive way and walkway. Hercules the owner, was a very kind man as well as Tiago the sales rep. They answered all my questions and my concerns prier to the job being started. They had a great clean up crew and left my walkway and driveway looking beautiful. The driveway and walkway both look amazing and this year I have hired them again to do my backyard patio. I am really exited to see how it turns out. Master concrete is a reliable and honest company, they were all so kind. I can not wait for them to start my patio, I know they will do a great job. I highly recommend this company.

We hired Master Concrete to repave our 6-car driveway and were extremely pleased with the end result.

Just before they were going to repave, we decided to edge the driveway with paving stones. Since this meant less concrete, they reduced the cost by $300.

Master Concrete started the job one day early, which worked for us. They removed 2 layers of old concrete and let the rock settle for about 2 weeks before completing the job. They always left our premises clean.

Master Concrete staff are pleasant and professional. We'd recommend them anytime.

This company has been a joy to work with from the estimate stage (Tiago) through project completion. The owner (Hercules) personally manages the job on site & the whole team is friendly and clearly take pride in their work. Jennifer from the office keeps you posted on start dates which naturally can change slightly due to weather. In my case Master Concrete actually showed up ahead of schedule thanks to a good run of weather this summer. I would not hesitate recommending this company to any neighbours and plan to do so. master concrete showed up on time and completed the job,but after i paid them ive never seen or heard from them again.my job was done in sept.2014 and it was written that i have a 1 year guaranty.ive been calling to arrange a meeting for repairs for the past 2 months with no response. my repairs include cracks in the cocrete,pebbles missing,and dips in the driveway.

This is the second home at which we used Master Concrete to supply and install an exposed aggregate double drive and walkway. We were so pleased with the first job in Oakville, almost 10 years ago, that we called as soon as we moved to Burlington. This time the driveway was much more extensive. In addition, we wanted to replace and widen the front steps and cap the existing front concrete porch.
As before, the work was done when promised, on time, (including the application of the sealant), on budget, and performed by a great group of very hard-working and courteous guys.
I couldn't give Master Concrete a higher rating and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The work was well done itinally. Then when there was cracking within the 1 year warranty period I was told I was added to the list. They didn't get to me that year due to weather. I was told the warranty was still going to be honoured. After several years have passed I still cannot get anyone to come to look at the issue. The office staff responded to my requests but it was never followed up by the person responsible for repairs. They just don't stand behind their work. It is very unfortunate as we were very happy initially.

Last year in March 2014 We planned to have our front porch with stairs, side walk, garden wall, back patio with stairs in stammped concrete. We called Master Concrete and the sales person Tiago visited our house to provide us the quote for the work. He was very nice and helped us in finalizing the design (he did excellent job as sales person). We gave him advance deposit and waited for our work to start. The work started in June and we had lot of problems since then. There was miscommunication between my written drawing and agreement versus what the head "Herculano" was making. Fortunately my wife was at home and she told him that it does not look right! Herculano tried to ignore her, but then she called office again and insisted to talk to Tiago. After lot of frustration the matter was resolved and they made what was on the agreed drawing. We paid full amount as soon as the concrete work was complete but the sealant was supposed to be done after few weeks. We had to call many times for that as well, and the sealant work done was done in so much rush that in many places you can see the marks like work done by non professional person.
The overall work quality was so so, not very impressive and when we mention about the quality, Herculano's response was "It is concrete work not wood work", while we could see clear imperfections in the finish. As money was paid in full, not much we could do!!
In less than 8 months, we started seeing the cracks in the garden wall, many chips all over the surfaces, even a big piece broke out from the side walk concrete. I emailed and sent pictures to the office on April 11, 2015 for the repair work as it is still in the warranty. I have called many times, and only one time I was able to get the real person to response and I was told it will be repaired in May, it is almost end of May and I have not seen any action from MC to fix it. I have sent another email reminder and if they come and fix the problem and satisfy us, I will come back and update this review. As it is today, I can not recommend MC to any one.

This company was excellent to work with. The office staff, Jen and Jennifer, the men that did the driveway, the owners and the salesman Tiago were great. The driveway is beautiful and I am extremely happy with their workmanship!
