Initially we wanted to get a quote on replacing the roof shingles. We ended up getting a quote for the roof/windows/insulation in the attic and siding around the front window. I have to say Chris was very informative about the whole process and was great on followup. As the weather as now turned colder we are really appreciating the extra attic insulation and it does keep a better balance of heating and cooling in the house as Chris had mentioned. Looking forward to calling on George Kent in the future as we work on changing the rest of the windows and possibly some doors.

Consummate professionals from start to finish. The sales person Todd was very consultative, not pushy at all, and put together a solution that provided us with a quality solution at a price we could afford. The installation team was also fantastic, led by Slavic. They explained exactly what they would be doing and were careful to tarp off all areas that could be hit by shingles and debris, and meticulously cleaned up our yard and our neighbours yards when they were done. There are slightly less expensive options out there but I would strongly caution against budget roofers in Toronto. Our home is a very tall 4 story building with a steep pitch and some of the other vendors I consulted didn't have the right safety training or insurance. I did my homework and found that you get what you pay for in this category, and for the quality, warranty and service, I couldn't find a better vendor than George Kent. Buy with confidence!

I am really delighted with the work done on my roof. Praise also needs to be given to the workmen for a job well done. Despite being tired and stiff at the end of the day, they took care to ensure all nails and debris were deposited in the dumpster. Tarp was laid around the house to minimize mess, and they went out of their way to make sure they left the premises the way they found it. Thank you very much for treating me, and my home and property, with care and respect.

We needed to remove old insulation in the attic of our 30 year old house and blow in the new good stuff - R60 rated. Chris the project manager onsite was exceptional, very professional, polite and service oriented. The first day was the extraction of the old insulation and the second day came in the new.

The team was very efficient, clean and thorough. They were a pleasure to have in our house. They left it clean and no one knew they had been working in the house for the past two days.

With their expertise and years of experience in the renovation business, they helped us pick out a front door that was both functional for ventilation and light, but still private. The installers called a few minutes before to let us know they were in the area. They were prompt, professional, courteous and knowledgeable. We also appreciated that they left our home clean and free of all debris from the instalation before leaving the property. George Kent Home Improvements, contracted through Home Depot Installation Services, did a great job installing the blown-in attic insulation. The admin staff at George Kent were polite and helpful. The installers were courteous, efficient, and clean, even clearing out debris from a long-past install. Full marks, and no hesitation to recommend them.

This was first re-roof on my 2500 sqft home and having gotten quotes from 8 different vendors across 4 roofing product lines from Certainteed, IKO, BP and GAF I came across many lifetime roofing systems across a broad range of price points from about $8K all the way to almost $18K. I consider myself reasonably knowledgeable about home renovation and construction so it was interesting how many vendors try and use multiple tactics to decieve and pressure sell you their services. Todd from George Kent was very honest and knowledgeable and about the product and in assessing the roofing condition from both the inside and out. There was only 2 other vendors that did the same. The worst of the vendors basically only drive by and drop a quote into the mailbox. What finally sold me on going with George Kent was the longevity and reputation of the company. They have been in business since 1949 and has and excellent BBB rating. The job I wanted done was to replace the roof with something that will last a lifetime but not cost me an arm and a leg to achieve this. So with both a long time in business, a great reputation and a reasonable price (not the lowest or the highest) I chose to go with George Kent. It took a whole month to schedule the job using GAF Timberline HD with the full array of GAF ice shield, and Deck underlayment. This system is warranted for 50yrs which is as close to lifetime that I needed. The entire installation occured in two phases first the roof followed by insulation a week or so later. The teardown and installation (new 1/2" roof decking replaced on the main roof) tookalmost 3 days to complete and other than some cieling crack on the second floor washroom ceiling caused by an errant mistep, which George Kent fixed everything went really well and the job the roofing team did was top notch. The team left the property cleaned and magnetically swept the driveway of nails. The insulation team came afterward and installed the baffles and connected the exhaust fan to the roof vent and filled the attic to R50 with blown fiberglass insulation from Certainteed. This made a huge difference in the effectiveness of the cooling of the house. Vasoula who coordinated all of this work from the office was on top of the teams working on this project and had this work done and completed very effectively and any contact with her was always handled super fast even though during this period she had some vacation scheduled once she returned she was right on top of things again - indispensable.

Roof looks fantastic, wasn't the cheapest quote but was by far the most educational and informative. I was able to make an informed decision based on initial consult and some fact checking. Chris was the best salesperson, made sure everything was explained. Final decision was based on warranty and professionalism. Job site was cleaned up and left pristine.

Very, prompt service - thanks Chris (supervisor) - he came very soon after our original call. Took the time to understand the job, and came to check the work the day it was done. This is unusual, in our experience, to have a supervisor check and make sure we're satisfied with the job. The dates for the work were set carefully by the office staff, and the workers showed up on time, were friendly, professional and efficient. We would highly recommend the George Kent company for renovation, repair or any other work.

George Kent Home Improvements Ltd. ("GK") changed our roof and topped up the insulation in our attic. We were extremely satisfied with their work from the initial inspection to the end of completion. The job was completed ahead of schedule and the final price (which included the upgraded shingles) was the same as the initial quote, even though GK had additional repair work to complete on the roof. The job was completed in an efficient, diligent and hard working manor. The professionalism expended by Wayne Palmer and his employees reflects well on the company. The job site at the end was probably cleaner than when they started. You can tell that this Company takes great pride in their work and want to keep the customer happy.I would recommend George Kent Home Improvements Ltd. to anyone.
