Forever Stone Design has once again impressed us with their design, workmanship and experience.
Last year the path by the side of our house underwent an amazing transformation from a random mixture of materials and undulating grades to a finished walkway in stone pavers.
This year we asked Mimmo and his crew to replace some 30-year old random flagstones on our front porch and walkway, this time with cut natural stone, including some low-profile curbing for a flower bed.
Mimmo once again offered great recommendations for the right materials and treatment to best achieve the look we were after. We couldn’t be more pleased with the result.

I have been planning for a little while to get the front yard, porch, front stairs and driveway renovated all in one shot. After spending way too much time on the back yard renovation by myself (IPE deck, landscaping, and interlock stone) I decided to let the professionals do what they do best :-)

I am very particular with project details and execution and I've spent quite a bit of time researching, planning, and making drawings for this project. I ended up having a nine 11x17 pages project plan that was used for project scope and quotes. The process of finding the right contractor for the job was interesting, considering that I did not have any references, the internet being my primary source of information and research.

Project scope:
- Front yard landscape with armour stones and river rock, front flower bed, regrading, new soil and sod install
- Porch and Front Stairs flag stone installation
- Brick interlock driveway (double edge border pattern, herringbone brick layout) with concrete curb stones

Mimmo and his crew did a stellar job on this project and they helped making it better by advising on a number of improvements. To summarize:

We recently had our front landscaping done. I take great pride in my home so when it came time to have the front landscaping done I was cautious as I wanted to make sure the job was done right and just the way I had envisioned. I can proudly say that Forever Stone did a stellar job! I had contacted several landscape contractors (many of which just never showed for the initial consultation). I received a very prompt reply from Forever Stone and met with Mimmo shortly thereafter. Mimmo was thorough and honest. He offered suggestions and went to great lengths to show me samples of the type of material he would use. He took time to explain the process and finishing work to me and made me feel very confident that if given the opportunity Forever Stone would transform our front landscape and capture what I had envisioned. After meeting with Mimmo for the first time I went into the house and said to my wife “this guy is the one…he is the real deal!” Mimmo and his crew showed up on-time every day, kept the job site very clean as to not disrupt us or my neighbors, even brought in my bins on garbage day! They really go above and beyond for the client. The job consisted of covering the front porch and steps in natural stone, added a fourth step, creating a walkway, front flower bed, tree ring, full driveway stone border and regrade and sodding the front grass. Mimmo and his crew even brought additional soil to the backyard and spread it so I could fix some problem patches with the grass. I couldn’t be happier with the end result! Mimmo and his team did a fantastic job! Our driveway, walkway and front steps look brand new. Mimmo and his team had installed our driveway, walkway and front steps about 8 years ago. During the past few years the city had lifted our interlocking stones and re-installed new sidewalks which affected the sloping of our driveway. This year we wanted to correct the issue and without any hesitation we called Mimmo because we believe in his workmanship, quality and professionalism. Mimmo came to examine and explain the work that was needed and also provided suggestions such as digging out the old French drain and reinstall a new drain system. During construction, Mimmo and his team came early each morning and were hard working to ensure our project was completed in a timely manner. I hired Mimmo to do work which would improve the appearance of my home with interlocking and stone work, and to transform the previously existing driveway, front stairs, and walkway to what is now a landscape masterpiece. When Mimmo initially came to meet with me, and to provide me with a price estimate, he took the time to thoroughly explain the process and also in making suggestions as to a design plan, when asked. Mimmo gave me a sense of certainty that I was dealing with a highly capable individual, with extensive knowledge and expertise. In addition to his expertise and professional acumen in this area, Mimmo has a natural talent and a specific eye for detail.

Mimmo was true to his word in providing me with an approximate time line as to when he would be available to start the job, and kept to his word with precision. The entire project approximately took 5 days. When he began the work, Mimmo and his team were punctual in starting every morning at 7:30 a.m, and they were very clean in their work by cleaning up and leaving things tidy at the end of each day. At the end, the work was fantastic. The walkway, stairs, and driveway were done remarkably well and look spectacular. My backyard garden looks amazing. I am also looking forward to planting some greenery in the Spring of 2017 in my new garden built by Mimmo and his team. I have received numerous compliments from family, friends, and neighbours, and I cannot say how satisfied and happy I am with the final result. My home has been transformed to a masterpiece.

They did a great job, and I am very impressed by the quality of the stone. It was a big job - a backyard patio, two walkways, and a two-car driveway - but they were in & out within four days and left the job site very clean. I have only one issue: I had specifically asked for a concrete stoop at the level of the back door, with a step up to the stoop, but all I got was the step.
