This was our second project with Mimmo and his crew, he did our front stonework a couple of years ago. The fact that we came back to Mimmo to do our backyard should speak for itself. Mimmo’s work in our front was excellent and it has held up really well over a couple of winters which speaks to the quality of his work. Mimmo stayed true to form with our backyard project, always punctual, clean work site, entire crew was very polite, and the project was completed as discussed and on time. Our confidence in Mimmo is high enough that we have recommended him to a next door neighbour and they have also recently added a 10 star review. No one would ever recommend a tradesperson to a neighbour unless they were absolutely sure of their abilities. I have zero hesitation to use Mimmo again or to refer him to anyone needing skilled stonework at a competitive price.

Having been ripped off for $50,000 by another contractor (Leon at Elies Landscaping), Mimmo's integrity and professionalism were a breath of fresh air. His price was competitive, and his stone masonry skills were exceptional. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Mimmo (and Maria!).

We hired Forever Stone Design to do our driveway, stone facing of our front porch as well as backyard patio. It was a bigger project (also working with an electrician) as we had a heated driveway installed as well. We needed to do a slight modification at the end of the job which worked out well (thanks Mimmo). There are a few things that really stand out hiring Forever Stone Design for a job. 1) Mimmo and his crew work hard & start very early everyday. None of this showing up mid morning stuff or jumping between jobs with a load of excuses that you may have experienced with other trades. 2) With Mimmo's experience, he knew what was required with appropriate pricing given the work and materials and was also good answering questions we had during the project. 3) They are quite skilled at sloping/grading (important for all jobs) as an additional drain recommended by another company was not needed with careful grading. 4) Lovely stone work. Mimmo’s solid reviews are the result of years of experience, a strong work ethic and doing whatever he can to make customers happy. Grazie Mimmo & crew!

If only I could give "12" stars! I happened upon Mimmo and Forever Stone on HomeStars last summer when there was imminent need to replace my front steps...the stones were no longer stable and, in fact, dangerous. And although it was high season, Mimmo and his crew found heart and time to come and replace the broken, unsafe stones. The Fix was beyond expectation...the detailed finishes, the care, the seamless clean up...WAY beyond what I expected from people I just blindly called for a "little" job, considering the other major renovation projects he was already undertaking. I MATTERED...and my little project mattered and it shows on the final result. So ONE YEAR later...Mimmo returns to now do my entire drive. Let's just say "CRAZY FANTASTIC"...my driveway now ups the market value of my house...and all the other houses in the hood. It's stunning. Mimmo and Maria and the construction crew are beyond affable...the work is fabulous...and they took great strides to be respectful to all the ajoining neighbours. Only adding that although the initial quote may seem excessive and you wonder "how much???"...just know that when you finally see the results, it becomes VERY clear that you invested in quality and in someone who takes pride and strides for excellence in his work. It was all a pleasure!

The work was done in accordance with a written contract for a price that was reasonable and competitive. Two days were necessary for Nimmo and his crew of two to complete the job at the end of August 2019. They worked diligently, properly and professionally. They related to me and my wife in a friendly manner and left the site in a state of cleanliness.

We hired Forever Stone Design to reconstruct the front entrance to our home. This included building a natural stone lower landing surrounded by a knee wall anchored by pillars. The build also included natural stone steps; the cladding of our existing concrete porch with flagstone, and a stone paver border around our driveway.

When I first met Mimmo to discuss our project, I was quite impressed with his 40 years of building experience and sage advice. As we discussed the details of the project including the foundation requirements, I quickly recognized that I was dealing with a master stonemason who was passionate about his work. With little deliberation, we hired Mimmo and with the work now completed, we are more than satisfied with the results. Our front entrance looks amazing!
Mimmo and his hard working, friendly crew were consistently on sight every day working long hours to complete the job on time. Mimmo’s attention to detail and workmanship made for a worry free experience. Throughout the build process, he made a number of suggested changes to our design that ultimately enhanced the look and value of our home. We were so impressed with his workmanship that we asked him to do additional work for us in rebuilding a stone fire pit in our backyard. Like his work to our front entrance, the round fire pit he built is a work of art. While the great Michelangelo of the High Renaissance died in 1564, I believe his spirt and passion live on through people like Mimmo.

Adding stonework to your property is a big investment so it is important to hire the right contractor. Master stonemasons like Mimmo who are passionate about their work are very rare to find. Mimmo and his crew did our interlock driveway and stone walkways almost 9 years ago. They needed resealing and repair/relaying so we hired them again. The job was done amazingly and without any fuss, just like last time. Mimmo even came to powerwash our driveway in the pouring rain one of the days!
