City Roofing

This company is getting all the negative reviews of another company located in Markham ON called City Roofing & Alluminum. Dont use that company and especially deal with the person named Peter Lee. This company I am sure is fine.

Very irresponsible company, Peter,the owner has no respect to his own word, he promises to come and do the job, never shows up, never calls and never returns the call and keeps you wait for him. He did this three times with us and interrupted our life. Furthermore, he appeared greedy as each time he changed his word and asked for more money than initially quoted for us.

The job was done almost 15 years ago. Had problems a year later, called Peter several time, everytime he promised to show up the next day and everytime was a no show. I guess that's his defination of 10 yr labour warranty.

We've our reroofing in May 2011 and after a few telephone messages & emails, we got no repsonse on the delivery of promised shingle warranty paperwork. Imagine what happen when you need their warranty claim?! I guess the only resort is go for the small claim court. I did a few referrals on reroofing these years: Anyone but NOT City roofing!

I got my roof done by City Roofing and Aluminum Co. There are some issues with the installation.
Called them and left voice message at least 6 times and sent emails 3 times but no response at all.

These people give warranty for many years but their behaviour clearly tells me that they were only looking for one time business from the beginning and they are ready to even give 50 years of warranty as they know they will NEVER honour it anyway.

Go with reputable companies.
At least you can avoid this company and get in to similar trouble that I am going through.

Roof was replaced by City Roofing few years ago. Price was reasonable.
They had two additional ventilation openings on the roof for us with no extra cost. The job completed in couples of days. Overall, the work was satisfied. The few complaints I had...1) waited quite sometimes before they worked on our house. (They installed roof at many houses in our neighbourhood around the same time). 2) Flowers and shrubs around the house were damaged during the removal of the old shingles.

The job is done "ok". The after sale service is very bad, almost like none. If there is a problem you can prepare to either fix yourself or get another company to fix for you.

The experiences for me and one of my friend, Peter from city roofing did pickup calls sometime and he said he will come in the next day or in next several hours to fix the problem. But never appear, when you call him to follow up, he did not pickup your call until several weeks or months after... He may have a call display..
