Global shutters installed the shutters in 2005 on the whole main floor of the house. I'm very happy with the product and I get a lot of compliments from my guests. It took about 8 weeks for the shutters to be installed, lots of frustrating unreturned phone calls but it is worth the wait. Four years after, the shutters still looks stunning. Now, I want to have shutters installed on the 2nd floor. I'm surprised my husband suggested that I should contact Global Shutters again. With the new company M3 Design Group, the service is much improved. Mike promised to have the shutters installed in 2 weeks.

We purchased shutters and blinds from Global Shutters in 2006 and have had no problems. My kids recently broke two shutters so I took them in to Mike and he fixed them in two days, he also delivered them back to our house. If we moved to another house I would purchase these shutters again.

We had our house done close to a year ago, and I have not been happier since, we did have many quots on the wood shutters, they all said they had the best out their, and when I was the Global Shutters, i was totally impressed, the thickness the finish and the wonderful workmanship. I have sent them to several of our friends and they are so happy. My daughter just bought a large and their windows will be done by. Global keep the good work.

I have purchased shutters from this company TWICE in two homes and yes, they don't have great after sales service.However, they do have a great product at a great price. I told Marco the owner he is getting poor reviews on this site and he tells me he IS the after service person. I can however say that I am very satisfied with the shutters and price and would buy from them again. You do have to wait for after sales service and wait a long time.

Global Shutters gave us a competitve quote on wooden shutters for our home's windows and patio doors. The product arrived exactly as described and quoted and we are very satisfied with the quality of the product. The installation was done quickly and professionally and extra time was taken to make some adjustments to ensure we would be completely satisfied. Would definitely recommend to others who are thinking of blinds/shutters for their home.

I've had a similar experience to others here. Good pre sales service and very responsive if they think they're going to sell you something. My daughter broke some of the levers and we've called for 3 months now for servicing. Finally, we decided to doop them into thinking that we were interested in purchasing more blinds just to get them to come out. Now, they have our blinds, and 3 weeks later no response at all. Am considering legal action against these fraudsters. Advice - caveat emptor: buyer be ware!!

Initially, I was impressed by these guys, having visited the Toronto Home Show at the exhibition place. They seemed like people who really wanted my business and would deliver on thier promises of quality and after sales service.

However things have turned out quite differently. I have called these people 10-15 times to get some one to come fix problems however, about 6-8 months have passed and noone has come or called despite my messages and their 10year warranty.

So my tip to you, ensure whoever you deal with has 5-10 references in different parts of the city, as I didn't bother checking theirs. Make sure you get their warranty written in some type of seperate document listing what they will and will not cover and the time frame and the remedies if they don't comply and ensure you get the boss to sign off verses the sales guy because he's probably not going to be there when you will need that service.

I signed a contract with Global Shutters in August of 2005 to build and install shutters throughout my entire house. It is now November of 2006 and the work is still not complete. Despite repeated phone calls and e-mails, I get no response from them. The large feature window in the front of my house (which is partially completed) will now have to re-done by another firm in order to get a consistent look and finish. I'm disappointed that they don't deliver on their promises and mad at myself for believing them.
