A Kitchen that won't last

I installed my new kitchen with Aya about 10 years ago. One year into the kitchen the bottom of each drawer began to peel. The material they use is cheap and they refused to replace it. I have since paid another company to come in and add in false bottoms at my own expense. Now I have 24 soft closing hinges that supposedly have a "Life Time Warranty" and they are refusing to replace as they believe I've been slamming the doors. So if your planning to spend a large amount of money I would say buyer beware. There sales people will tell you anything to get the sale but there are much better companies who will stand behind what they say.

Kitchen and baths - big project

This was my 2nd big project with Amy and her amazing team at AyA. Everyone is a pleasure to work with, including the installers and the quality control manager. Amy had incredible ideas and inspiration. I refer Amy and AyA to my real estate clients all of the time.

A wonderful recovery from a poor first impression!

My husband and I purchased a brand new home recently. Part of our decision to choose this builder was that they offered AyA cabinetry in the kitchen and washrooms. We've heard great things about AyA and were excited to have a quality product in our new home.

Unfortunately, although the cabinets themselves were gorgeous- the installation fell flat. We had mouldings installed incorrectly, crooked doors, missing shelves, etc. Thankfully AyA was very keen to correct the issues and worked very diligently to ensure we were satisfied. They were in constant communication and moved ahead as quickly as production allowed them. When the work was completed, they reached out to ensure we were happy.

Overall we were impressed by their desire to provide customer satisfaction and appreciate all of their hard work. Our cabinetry looks amazing and we consistently receive compliments on the beautiful matte finish. We love our AyA cabinets and would definitely work with them again in the future.

A special thanks is owed to Gina, Eric, Brandon, Semily and the fabulous installation team members we had the pleasure of hosting in our home.

Work with AyA- you won't regret it!

Kitchen reno disaster

Repeated installation attempts; the initial installation was a disaster - 30-40% of the pieces were damaged and required re-order and re-install, which we were then informed was "standard." Took three attempts for install; we still have pieces that are damaged / installed incorrectly (not what we ordered, odd gaps where there should be none). Cumulative 3.5 month delay from initial install date (six months from invoice date!), which in turn delayed other aspects of our renovation project. Very messy installation; entire first floor covered in sawdust. Delivery was three hours outside of scheduled delivery window. All of this while I was 5-8 months pregnant. I spent an inordinate amount of time and missed work (emails, phone calls, repeated meetings with installers) to get Aya to get the job done. On top of it, our salesperson mysteriously disappeared halfway through our project - either fired or quit. Outrageously poor product quality and customer service, considering they charge a premium. Most bizarre, Aya staff seemed to think that this level of service and quality was acceptable - received very odd comments from delivery and quality managers indicating this was status quo for them.

Kitchen island

What a terrible experience! The drawers don’t even align properly, the damaged drawers still haven’t been replaced, the installation guy doesn’t show up on time!! The countertop had to be re-cut and still waiting for the re-installation date.
They are quick to get the money but kitchen island installation is horrible and customer service at best less than adequate.
It is a very frustrating experience!

Kitchen Nightmare!

We began working with Aya back in the summer of 2017 designing our dream kitchen. We ordered our dream kitchen in the fall of 2017. Received it & had it installed January 2018. We are now midway through 2019 with the last of the door installs being done just last week & we remain extremely discontented with their product as well as their service.
We have had all cupboard doors replaced once due to warranty/poor MDF quality including the range hood. Some doors have been replaced 3 times & we remain unhappy due to quality assurance & poor packaging practices. The analogy I like to use is if someone was buying a car (because that is what average kitchens cost today) you expect to receive a brand new car without imperfections of scratches, dent, paint chips, etc. The same goes with your kitchen cupboards in my mind. Why are some cupboard door perfect & others come with imperfections. There was no consistency of product. This is not what we expected to say the least!
We would like to express our disappointment with their unsatisfactory level of service & quality of product. It has been a very long 18 months trying to resolve ongoing issues with their product & lack of quality. We had expected much more from a known and reputed company of their standard. We had reached out to your company back in the spring of 2018 & never received a follow up call back. I called last week & have yet to hear back once again. We feel we were never taken seriously, pushed aside, forgotten about & treated poorly. Working with the company has been nothing but frustrating & extremely dissatisfying. Our dream kitchen has turned into our forever nightmare!
Aya is a company that should uphold pleasurable customer experience especially when people are building a dream of theirs. We have & will continue to spread the word about our experience with both Innovative Kitchens (locally) & Aya products to all of our family, friends, acquaintances & whomever we speak about kitchen designs or renos to.

Perfection IS NOT the standard!

I have a small 10' galley style kitchen. The total renovation consisted of 5 upper cabinets and 4 lower cabinets. Not a big job. The reason I went with Aya was that they did it all. Painting, tear-out, install and plumbing.
It is hard to find a contractor to take on such a small project.
The cabinets are plain white thermafoil. Nothing fancy, easy to wipe down.
When they did the tear out they didn't bring garbage bags, brooms, vacuums, etc. The painter used my upstairs bathroom to clean his brushes even though I asked him not to. The installers arrived without the drawings. I printed them off for them.

The installers didn't have a vacuum so they didn't clean out the construction debris from the drilling. It is quite difficult to clean out a base cabinet after they have installed the drawers. They caulked one cabinet to the window frame but not the other one. I get it, things get missed. It is up to the project manager/salesman to find these errors/omissions and correct them.

I am still cleaning paint off my kitchen floor, toiletries in the bathroom and any other surface you could get paint on.

95% of the work is good. It is that last 5% that is disappointing. Apparently you should expect flaws and damage on a new install and live with it. The project manager didn't even look for deficiencies. When I pointed them out I was "too picky". Why on earth would I expect perfect?
The salesman was by today to give a "fix up" paint pen. Yep, it is up to me to fix all the dings, dents and flaws with a little paint pen.

I don't know if the Aya standard, but if it is stay away.

New installs should be flaw less. There shouldn't be dings and chips.

Kitchen Renovation

We took possession of a townhouse in Oakville that had a tired kitchen and decided to replace it. We visited 4 companies and picked AYA Kitchens because they did the best job in convincing us they could make us a kitchen of our dreams within our budget. We worked with Lucia Basnakova throughout and she told us of so many ideas and tricks and ways to do things we never would have thought of. It has made a huge difference and we love our new kitchen. The quality of materials, the excellence in the workmanship and attention to all the little details and the superb, tireless work of the installer simply blew us away. We heartily and truly recommend AYA . You won't be disappointed!

New Custom Kitchen

Their showroom in Mississauga helped make the design process much easier. Their installers always came when scheduled, and any missing or defective areas were changed out afterwards. We had a great experience overal, and ended up with exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend them!!

New Kitchen

Very satisfied with my new kitchen, which Kirth Manku help me to design.
Kirth gave me excellent ideas for my new kitchen, including my 9ft. long kitchen island. she knew I wanted a big island as I like to cook and she came up with an excellent design. She helped me to choose the right colours for my cabinets and the island.
Thank you also to the Aya kitchen installer. He did an excellent job installing my cabinets and cupboards. job very well done.
