The Art Of Renovation

We had two bathrooms in our home that needed to be renovated. We met Mark at the Home Show and proceeded to hire him as our contractor for the renovations. From our first meeting with Mark, we found him to be a pleasure to work with. The ability to communicate is crucial and is a two-way street and Mark certainly adhered to that. We were provided with regular updates almost daily as the renovations progressed. Issues were dealt with in a professional manner, in addition to full explanations and always to our satisfaction. Marks crew were very friendly and always attentive to our needs. Clean up at the end of each day was a must and was completed to our standards. In the end, we have two amazing bathrooms and would definitely recommend Mark and his crew to anyone requiring renovations to be completed.

It was a pleasure to work with Mark, The Art of Renovation, to renovate my kitchen. He provided a reasonable quote, had years of experience and most importantly, he assured me that communication was one of his priorities. During the renovation, Mark provided hands on service for the challenging issues, his team worked hard, and clean up on site at the end of the day was always taken care of. Mark listened to what I wanted in my kitchen, provided sound advice for minor issues that had popped up and most importantly, stayed in touch throughout the renovation. I absolutely love my new kitchen!

We've worked with Mark and his team to renovate two of our three bathrooms (the third is slated for this summer). He and his team have done an great job thus far - our ensuite in particular turned out amazing! Mark makes a strong effort to stay in communication throughout the planning process and is flexible with his schedule. Once each bathroom project was started he and his team were onsite pretty much every day until completion. Any time we had questions or concerns they were addressed immediately. We're looking forward to having our last bathroom done this summer!

The true measure of a General Contractor or Project manager is their ability to adapt to unanticipated events and to deal with them as they arise; the ability to be flexible in working within the confines of the expectations of the client, and the trades. Especially these days with the uncertainty of labour and material supplies this can be tricky. I have to say that in all aspects Mark and his team not only met, but exceeded my expectations. The quality of the work done is of very high standards, and I have no regrets whatsoever in having chosen his company to bring our house back to beauty and functionality.

We recently had Mark & his team do a full renovation on our homes primary bathroom. Having met Mark at the home show a couple of years ago he was very diligent in checking in with us to determine when we were ready to move forward with the job. We checked in with several other contractors but seemed to always come back to Mark for a couple of reasons:

1. He was willing to listen to our needs and brought forward several suggestions on how to maximize the use of our small space

2. Even though the job was a relatively small one, he gave us the time and attention we needed to feel comfortable with the services he would be providing. It felt like some other contractors only wanted to take on large jobs and our bathroom was just not big or expensive enough for them

3. He was very up front with the cost and stuck to it

The bathroom is now finished, and we are extremely pleased in the way in which it turned out. Mark & his team were very responsive to our questions and took the time to explain things as they were progressing. They were totally attentive to our needs even when we threw a few slight changes in scope their way.

We would definitely recommend Mark & his team to anyone needing renovation work done & are already speaking to him about a few other projects that we need to get done.

Project started on schedule and workers were all very pleasant and helpful throughout the process. Good communication at all times and minimal disruption to our daily lives. Mark had some good design ideas that we hadn't considered and we are very pleased with our new bathroom. Cost did not include any of the bathroom fixtures or tiles which we had to source, purchase and store in advance of starting the project.

My wife and I bought a house with an unfinished basement. We hired the company Art of Renovation to do the project of finishing the whole basement incl. putting in a separate entrance.

Mark and his team did a great job - from looking into receiving the necessary permits, framing, tiling, installing a modern kitchen, fabulous and spacey bathroom, sauna and a cosy fireplace.

Mark and his crew were a good group to have working in our home. Receptive to new ideas and questions about what needed to be done. They were on track to meet deadlines for completion of their project. They returned to do follow up work after the kitchen cabinets were installed and worked right up to Christmas Eve to get us a working Kitchen for Christmas Day.

Great job and done efficiently. Get lots of comments on the car port. Workers showed up on time and did what they say they were going to do. Work was completed during the lockdown

Mark and his crew were able to complete the job in a professional and timely manner. We didn't have to wait months for this renovation to be completed, as Mark set dates when they would be arriving and when they would be completed. We had organized that all the items would be available to be installed. We did a walk-in shower and added an additional small Towel Cabinet! This really helped out with storage as we reside in a CONDO!

Mark actually did more than what was specified by removing all the old drywall. We gained another 10 inches in the ceiling height as well! This made a big difference for my wife and I as we are above the average height. See the photo! They installed electrical flooring heating as well which my wife loves on those cold mornings!

We are quite pleased by the whole experience.
