The guys at Antique Hardwood Flooring in Oakville did a fantastic job refinishing our oak floors for us. From scheduling and initial consultations with Tony to the expert workmanship of Luis, Renato, Greg, Mike and Danny, every step of the process was first-rate. Great service, great results and a great price. What more could you want?

We visited many hardwood flooring vendors to complete our approximately 1900square foot job. When we walked into Antique Hardwood Flooring, Tony took time to show us the various options that were available to us and explained the advantages of the various options we were considering. After much back and forth, we chose the hardwood that we liked and scheduled our install through them. To say the installers were amazing does not do them justice. Luis and Renato gave our install job the attention they would have given their own homes. They were very pleasant individuals who worked very hard and did an outstanding job. Not only did they do an excellent job on the install but they also went the extra mile to clean the areas they had been working in. Overall, it was a great experience and I would not hesitate to highly recommend them to anyone who needs hardwood.

The customer was not always right with Tony from Antique Hardwood Flooring today. Our very expensively redone floors(1 year old), are a mess, chipped and old looking. Upon arrival at our home, Tony immediately put us on the defensive, laughed in a condescending manner, and told us we could NOT possibly be using the cleaning products we’ve been using for years (Bona). Humidity (or lack of it)is apparently our issue (his throat hurt he said from the dry air in our home)and we should open a window.
Tony identified an issue with our aging humidifier, which has supposedly not been working for years, although serviced and filter replaced annually.
Not sure why the flooring problem exists now and not before. Could this issue been handled in a more professional manner? Very bad customer service and very disappointed.



After many years of procrastination, we decided to take the plunge and invest in hardwood flooring to be installed throughout our home. Our key learnings from past (horrible) renovation experiences:
1. Partner with folks who treated our home as if it were there own.
2. Partner with folks who had the highest standard of work ethic and took pride in the quality of their work.
3. Partner with a team who were authentic and honest.

Here is how our relationship with Antique Flooring began. After one year of shopping around, my husband and I decided to visit the store. We had a terrific chat with Tony, and left with a bundle of samples. When loading the samples into our car ( A mini cooper so very limited in space), Luis came out of the store with a bunch of rags to place in between the samples of wood so that the car did not get damaged.

This was a small gesture - yes, however, this small gesture left a huge impression on us. All hardwood flooring stores sell the same product, but it is the people that make the difference. The genuine care that Luis showed to us that day spoke volumes to us about his work ethic. Tony's genuine interest in us spoke volumes about his commitment to the client experience. This was the first time in the year that we had been shopping for Hardwood that we were 'wowed' - and trust me, we dealt with many people throughout the year!!

That was the day that we decided to work with Antique Flooring.

The reno was hands down the most enjoyable, and easy renovation that we have ever experienced. Tony, Ariel, Ana, Luis, Renato, John, Avelino, Greg and Danny treated us as family and our home as if it were there own. The teamwork, quality of the work, work ethic, attention to detail every step of the way and pride in their craft was amazing to witness over the 5 weeks. Of course, there were a couple of hiccups along the way, needless to say, The AF Team continuously delivered a seamless client experience.

A huge thank you to the AF Team - it was our pleasure to have you in our home. You are truly exceptional at your craft - a rarity these days, especially in such a competitive space.

Oh and of course - we absolutely love our 'finished on site, custom colour" floors!!!!!!!!!!

We recently had our entire basement and main level of our house finished with engineered maple flooring by Antique Hardwood Flooring (approx. 2,500 sq. ft.). Not only did Ariel and Tony do a fantastic job helping us select the perfect product for our home - providing us with countless samples and advice in the selection process - but the installation was perfect. Renato and Luis examined each and every board to look for imperfections/flaws and glued the wood using a product with zero VOCs and super easy clean. The team took care of every detail of the process for us and were very professional throughout. They maintained an extremely tidy work area and were very accommodating to our installation schedule. I 100% would use them again. Thank you!

Antique is a great company to work with. One of the toughest things when getting a job done is communication. Antique does a great job with this. Tony is great to work with on picking out what you want and coming up with a plan. Ariel keeps you up to date on planning, payments and status. Renaldo and Johnny are fantastic at not only doing the install/refinish/repair but also keeping you informed.

We had our entire main floor refinished and we had new floors installed in our upstairs. Antique removed the old flooring upstairs, installed the a new subfloor, installed new floors and finished on-site. On the main floor they refinished our existing oak floors including doing some repair work and installing flush floor registers. They also finished the treads on our new stairs.

Flooring work is very messy but they always did their best to clean up.

I highly recommend Antique and will use them again.

I recently had about 1000 sq feet of hardwood refinished by Antique Flooring in an old Hamilton house. I was so overwhelmingly pleased with the level of professionalism, courtesy and know-how of each staff member. From Tony conducting the estimate, and Danny and Greg who refinished the floors and helped me pick the perfect shade of brown stain to Ariel back at he shop who kept in constant communication with me on the progress of the work. My old floors now look like new. To top it all off their price came in lower than another estimate I had gotten. I would encourage anyone to at least visit their beautiful showroom and meet these great people. Thanks to you all - if I could give you an eleventh star, I would!

Absolutely the most spctacular rfinishing of existing hardwood floor
I can always spot a job done by this company bcause they are always a perfect job. I would use rthm again in a heartbeat!

Suggested we rip up our hardwood and refinish the original 1860’s 3/4" thick pine floors varying from 4" to 8" wide . They repaired the damaged boards and it looks awesome. The work was done in a few days.
