We are very happy with the work that Manny performed. He installed a number of LED pot lights throughout our main floor. He was great in helping determine the optimal locations for the lights. The work was done quickly and professionally. A number of our friends have used Manny as well.

Antique is a great company to work with. One of the toughest things when getting a job done is communication. Antique does a great job with this. Tony is great to work with on picking out what you want and coming up with a plan. Ariel keeps you up to date on planning, payments and status. Renaldo and Johnny are fantastic at not only doing the install/refinish/repair but also keeping you informed. We had our entire main floor refinished and we had new floors installed in our upstairs. Antique removed the old flooring upstairs, installed the a new subfloor, installed new floors and finished on-site. On the main floor they refinished our existing oak floors including doing some repair work and installing flush floor registers. They also finished the treads on our new stairs. Flooring work is very messy but they always did their best to clean up. I highly recommend Antique and will use them again.

I had a few quotes for our staircase and in general most places just wanted to go the easy (and expensive) route of replacing the whole thing. Jeff came in and showed how he could repair and cap the treads, cover the kickboards and stringers and put in a new post and railing. This saved us a LOT of money. I saw the other reviewer's comment about painting. This is true. You have to paint your own pickets and railing. In my case my flooring guy did the treads and I painted the pickets/stringers/kickboards and stained the railing. So if you are not in to doing some work then you will need to find someone to do that for you. Overall I am very happy with the work that Jeff and his boys did.

Robert has been out to our place a couple times over the years to work on our pool heater. He helped us with getting the first job done under warranty which was great. The second time out he replaced the ignition in the heater and also showed me how we were not getting sufficient gas flow to the heater and how that was contributing to our issues (since been resolved). I highly recommend Robert Chautems.

I have used Sam Harb & Sons twice. Once to have my sump pump replaced. It died and as a result we had some flooding. Had to do an emergency call and they came out and replaced the pump quickly. It wasn't cheap but it was done well. I also had a couple bursts in a pipe outside. They did an excellent job fixing that up and it looked better than before the bursts. I would definitely recommend them. A bit pricey but most people are these days.

This experience is from a couple years back but as I was writing some other reviews I figured I should put this one in as well. I was having a few issues with my central vacuum system. The gentleman in the store was very helpful in diagnosing the problem and suggesting how to fix it. I ended up doing the repair myself and purchased some other parts from them. It is nice dealing with a real person in a small company.

I purchase a replacement attachment set for my central vacuum 11 months ago. It includes the power head, hose... The hose no longer works (won't make the contact to turn on the vacuum). I have an old hose so I know the system is working fine. I contacted sears online and they confirmed that the kits come with a 2 years parts and 1 year labour warranty. I then phoned sears to figure out the exchange/repair. I spent 5 minutes on the phone with the first person, transferred to someone else for 10 minutes, then I spent 25 minutes with the next person and seemed to be making progress, then all of a sudden a new person took over and didn't have any of the info from the first 3 people. Went through everything again. They are trying to tell me that a hose is like a vacuum bag and is something that is not covered. Complete BS. I had the warranty in writing from them. Their customer support system tries to frustrate you so that you will give up. In my case after 50 minutes on the phone something went wrong on their end and I got a busy system. No clue if that was intentional or just due to the fact that they are not located anywhere near Canada. I will never ever purchase another item from Sears. If you do purchase from Sears make sure it is something that you will never have to deal with a warranty on.

UPDATE: ------ Immediately after posting this review I was contacted by Shawn the sales rep. He is working to resolve the issue. I had tried to contact them before using their main line, so a word of advice is to keep the sales rep cell number. I will update this review below based on what happens. ------ I will start with a couple of good things. First off the price was excellent and the sales person (Shawn) showed up early gave the quote on site (no waiting around like a lot of people). The way the job is done with different crews of people is very efficient, it really is an assembly line. Now for the bad stuff: 1-were a day late showing up, for some people this may not be a problem but I had taken the day off so I could be present when the job was done. 2-used the wrong colour stone. They were tying into an existing patio and used the wrong colour stone. 3-despite having dug up and marking water and gas lines ahead of time they put a 9 inch spike through one of my pool lines. I had to drain a foot of water out of the pool and spend several hours fixing that. 4-instead of removing the dirt they dug up they threw it all against the trunks of my cedars. This will kill the trees. So while the price is great I really cannot recommend going with them. Spend a little more money and go with someone else.
